My second point is that it is generally agreed that season 10 is horrible (along with 11 and 12), while season 9 was decent. I thought season 9 was very weak, and it is the only season I don't find myself returning to. If buying season 9 is almost a regret then I can only imagine that season 10, which I doubt anyone prefers to 9, must be a far more regrettable purchase. I do assume you're taking your statement about mtilly claiming it's shit from my 'I can't imagine how horrible 10 could be'. Fair enough, but I think the statement is justified, as I do have reason to believe 10 pales in comparison to a season I already find to be quite bad.
Still as a Fan to NEVER have seen these episodes is a Travisty. I Have Never Hated a season of OFF and think that there are many "Young" Old timers here pining for the Old Days. "In my day Homer was such a jerk, In my day we had to draw the simpsons up hill both ways and people threw silver dollers at us bigum we liked it" need to just quit stating it
IT"S BEEN 18 SEASONS Quality CAN'T be the Same. Do you still act like the 1989 Version of yourself, Is Bush is President?, Is there still crappy Poupler Music?, am i still in th fifth grade. Yes but he is NEW and Jerkass as ever, Yep and NO!!!!!
So if you want to deprive yourself go ahead but i just wish the losers and there crybabys would stay away
WHY if the Simpsins have not been good since 1997 are you still here?

has his moments
Nice cover art. Not as good as the previous ones though.
'Peep-hole' has gotta be Squeaky-Voiced Teen, it's the only thing that would fit.
I think the theme for the booklet might be a sort of 'programme' listings for Channel 6 and/or Krusty the Clown show.
Pretty sure I will buy this one, probably not straight away though. As with previous years it will probably be released in the UK shortly before or after my birthday (October) so I won't be able to get anyone to get it for me...

What are you talking about? So because I answered a question concerning my good reasoning for not finding this set to be worth the money, I'm suddenly a whiny crybaby? So, because I don't share your tastes, I'm a Young Old Timer depriving myself of seasons I have good reason to assume are of low quality? Way to make ridiculous generalizations which so many people have refuted time and time again, but since you obviously haven't gotten the message: just because I don't find some episodes funny, that doesn't make me a loser anal-retentive fan obsessed with everything that came before a particular season (how did you come up with that one?) and I'm still here because I love the old shows and quite a few new ones. I just don't think season 10 is worth the money, and yet you fabricate an entire post (half of which doesn't make any sense) of how I beg for the old days (when did I say that?) and how I hate everything from season 10 to season 18 (which isn't even true).
Yes, NJ Pete, I'd love to continue arguing against your horrendously fallacious assumptions, but I think I've gotten the point across as it is.

No, I watched 7 episodes, fairly assumed that seven episodes watched in completely random order would determine the style of the season (as is the case for most seasons; five-seven episodes do give you the gist of things), and gathered from members who tend to share my opinions that this season is worse than a season I already find to be mediocre. And note, I never judged the season concretely as being horrible, I just said I had good reason to believe it would be and logically assumed that it wouldn't be worth my money.

TheForbiddenDonut I don't really think season 10 was the worst season. It's true that some episodes weren't good and that season 10 only had about 10 great episodes. It was really the season when episodes were going downhill and not being that funny as the earlier seasons. It's true that the Treehouse of Horror IX was the last best Treehouse of Horror we had in a long time. I would probably only like one act or two acts from Treehouse of Horror X-XVII. Just remember that season 11 to season 18 had 22 episodes per season or less. I think that season 14 was the worst season that season only had about 6 good episodes and the rest of the episodes were either average or horrible. But on thing for sure that The Simpsons is one of the funniest animated show we had in a long time.

Because people are allowed to be fans even if there are a couple bad seasons.

Maybe it's time to live....
So...am I the only one who hasn't really seen this season at all and is thus still curious enough to buy and watch it in a relatively short amount of time?
Probably.

vs. Radioactive Man
Cool cover! I'm glad it's a gold color, a nice bookend to season one's silver. Being the obsessive collector that I am, I like to see what the set looks in completion. Now I share my mental disorder with all of you:

"who shot?", movie premiere, family photos, music concert and TV studio together at last! Can't wait to see whats next for seasons 11 to 15!
UP AND ATOM!

They do, although I still haven't even BOTHERED to send away for the S6 box. I know, it's awful, but I can't figure out what's wrong with me. I'm just so...apathetic about it.
That's okay, pretty soon they'll stop distributing them, I'll suddenly care, and I'll drop a good 40 bucks on one of them.

something clever
Wow, for some reason I didn't really notice that the boxes had a main focus on the character whose head was used for that same season's limited edition box until I saw them all side by side. Weird.

i dunno if this makes any sense but maybe bart only has 7 spikes on the cover because hes seen from a foward angle, rather than his usual 3 quarter stance?

nah he's off model because they couldnt fit 9 spikes on the box without things protruding from the sides, simple as that.
it's basically this image modified.
