    Rate/Review Moe 'N' A Lisa

When Homer forgets Moe's birthday, Moe's anger inspires Lisa to write about him for her school report. She finds a poetic side to Moe and helps him get published in "American Poetry Perspectives." However, when Moe is featured at a literary conference where he encounters celebrated authors Gore Vidal, Michael Chabon, Tom Wolfe and Jonathan Franzen (all guest-voicing as themselves), he takes all the credit despite Lisa's feelings.

Lots of good humour. For me this episode whad some nice laughs. Which is a breath of fresh air from some other episodes recently that were dull. Homer's "gay poetry" thing in the first act was excellent. And the little maple syrup bit over the end credits was really fun too. Moe was very funny and in-character in the episode, which I enjoyed. I'm glad to see such a stable plot. And I truly think the emotion in this episode wasn't feeling like "who cares?". BTW, nice animation.

she didnt exactly read shrek the 3rd, which apparently exists as some sort of companion book for a pixar movie. no, this would probably take several minutes (perhaps 10), and would have ultimately depricated the shrek 3 cinematic experience

she merely looked at the book

she saw it, perhaps in the childrens section of a barnes & noble, registered it in her mind as being in existance, and filed it away for later as the subject for a post on BOOKS YOUVE READ. only she just looked at it. and it was shrek 3

in a way its the saddest post ive ever read

Good: The Willie Reaper in 2nd Place

Bad: Stupid Scuttling joke ran too long and Homer falling down stairs.

REVIEW: Well, it was bit light on the jokes, but the story was actually pretty decent, if not a too little by the numbers. The Willie Reaper was the funniest sight-gag this season.

    GRADE: 7.5/10 (B-)
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

Wow, you've actually enjoyed this Season so far I notice, would you agree? Lot's of B range episode it seems, which makes a change from last Season, where you were voting nearly everything 2/5...

This episode didnt really have anything terrible in it. But it also didn't have anything funny in it. I thought Lisa was being a bit selfish about the whole acknowledgement thing, considering Moe's work wouldn't have been praised in the first place if he had given it to her. But Lisa is always like this.. too busy worrying about what's right and not what's practical. The only time I laughed in the whole episode was when Moe said "Oh it's just his car" because Homer's stupid plan actually worked. Nothing that made me cringe in the episode though either.

There have been better this season, definitely

    C- (3/5)

I also want to add that the characterizations were well done*, as well as the plot. This was a nice simple plot compared to the more outrageous one from last week.

*However, was the dean whipping the grad students the same was the one from Homer goes to College? It looked just like him, and he was obviously much different than from HGTC.

First act was pretty good, but the other 2 were pretty hit or miss. Plenty of good jokes. 3.5 rounded up to 4.

    A great big "wha?"
Laughed at Grad Student joke, and the "clinking glasses" line.

    Bullwinkle thing was clever.
There were a couple of other o.k. parts.
Overall, not much that stood out.

i dug every vermont reference, and that might have something to do with the rating. there were a few moments i found to be pretty funny. the chabon/franzen fight towards the end was randomly hilarious.
