There's a normal one with (I think) Oakley, Weinstein, and Jim Reardon, then a second one with Ian Maxtone-Graham and Dan Castellaneta.

    Yes, it's cut free.

That's good to hear, about H vs. NY. I'd have hated to see one of the better episodes from season nine to be edited.

Ian Maxtome Graham and Dan Castlenetta have another commentary if you hit the audio button to listen to the 5th track for the episode. (New York V. Homer)

I just noticed the set doesnt have the congradulatory snippets for the 200th episode. Maybe they're not...important or something, but its sad that they didnt make it in the set.

If you're in the U.S., I think you can catch The City of New York on syndication without any cuts (besides syndication cuts if there are any) since it's been 5 years now. I honestly don't see anything offensive about two guys yelling to each other from opposite towers.

"There's a couple of things they don't teach you in Harvard Business School. One is how to cope with defeat; the other is how to handle a shotgun. I'm going to do both right now."

Actually the trick is easy. Anytime you see Professor Provolone's brain teaser, all you do is press the "6" button on your remote. 6 is the answer to the brain teaser. Matt said something about it in his intro thinggy.

You don't have to say the same thing twice, just address the matter to the people it's relevant to, to FuzzyWuzzyWuzABear and Homer_Thompson, and anyone else.

They haven't even played this in the NY area since 2001 or before. Do they play it elsewhere? I've never cared for it, but it's been so long, that I almost want to see it again.

First one. It's the first thing that plays. Stop hitting skip so much.

Got mine for Christmas. I've been watching the episodes only so far, and I have yet to start with any special features or commentaries.

  15. #435

I just listened to Oakley and Weinstein's hidden commentary. Wow, even though they aren't my all time favorite showrunners in terms of episode quality, they are definitely my favorite as actual people; their attitude and devotion is outstanding, and they seem to be the nicest and most devoted of all showrunners. That commentary really was a great feature.

It's 'Born in The U.S.A.' by Bruce Springsteen (1985) if anyone else wondered.
Thought it was Springsteen but I couldn't find which album it was on Amazon. Should've checked allmusic.com instead I guess.

Is that to say that it's a trailer which plays automatically and you have to bother to skip it everytime you put the disc in if you've seen it enough times already? I hope I am wrong and it is a menu option to watch it...

So far I've listened to the first disc and I'm finding these commentaries to be better than last season's.
she didnt exactly read shrek the 3rd, which apparently exists as some sort of companion book for a pixar movie. no, this would probably take several minutes (perhaps 10), and would have ultimately depricated the shrek 3 cinematic experience

she merely looked at the book

she saw it, perhaps in the childrens section of a barnes & noble, registered it in her mind as being in existance, and filed it away for later as the subject for a post on BOOKS YOUVE READ. only she just looked at it. and it was shrek 3

in a way its the saddest post ive ever read

Well after a lot of aggravation, and a stupid extra £8.31 for import fees, I finally got my copy today. Word to the wise for anyone as misguided as I was, stay away from Playusa.com should that tax disclaimer pop up. It is very rare that you will not get billed these days, so don't gamble and go use another site instead. Like the one everyone used on this borad for instance, where they got theres early without extra fees (I'm bitter). I kick myself everyday for not listening to Tony_Montana's recommendation.

Anyway have watched all the extras on disc 4 and listened to a few commentary's on disc 1. Really enjoyed listening to the Principle and the Pauper commentary, I pretty much agreed with what they were saying, I've always been quite fond of the episode but can understand why people hate it. Its going to be interesting listening to what Mike Skully has to say, seems like a nice interesting man from what I herd on the deleted scenes commentary, but I still can't help but feel stupidly shallowly bitter to wards him still.

Where is the hidden O&W commentary? And what exactly is the hidden "Lisa the Simpson" thing mentioned earlier.

The hidden O&W commentary IS the Lisa the Simpson thing.

I think it's whenever you see the puzzle Lisa is trying to solve, you press "6" on the remote and it takes you to the hidden commentary.
