Does anyone know when more episodes of South Park will go into syndication? It seems they only have up to season 8.

This is probably something I could look up, but I thought maybe someone had the knowledge on hand.

The South Park "Up the Down Steroid"... did they know about the movie "The Ringer"? Did they actually take the idea? Were people upset?

They did not know of the movie when they made the episode and they think it's silly, anyway, because two entirely different people can come up with the same idea. Besides, they'd had that idea for a few years, and didn't think they could support a whole episode with it, so Matt and Trey found it pretty amazing that a whole movie was made around that premise.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0267891/board/nest/85107247 has an answer, of course I can't vouch for how accurate the information is. Since SP's episode came out before the movie, it's unlikely SP took the idea from the movie. It's a bit like the Simpsons episode 'Bart the Murderer' and Goodfellas.

I just listened to the commentary for this last night, actually.

According to Trey, they came up with the idea without ever hearing of the movie, and they don't think the movie stole it from them, because the idea was so basic.

Because Danish cartoons with Mohammed in them got fundies riled up after season 5 and a little before season 10, which created more of a threat and danger.

What time period is Batman: The Animated Series set in? It looks kinda 1930's-1950'sish, but I've never been sure.
