I'll give it an A- too just because I love the glove slap song. The rest was pretty decent stuff as well.

My favorite of Season 11. Even if that isn't saying much.

It was good, if not bizarre. I laugh continuously.

    I'm sorry, but...D+.

Haven't actually seen it in a while, though I thought the animals going nuts was stupid, and Homer getting shot was not funny in the least bit. The glove slap saves it from scoring even lower.

Funny episode, even with the minor lack of continuity.

Agreed with Corkus. Way over the top, Homer was a jerk throughout. The glove slap stuff was funny, especially with the B-52s singing the alternate version but a lot of the farming stuff, and that ending, sucked. C-

It's okay. I enjoy it whenever I see it, but it's not one of my favorites. I think I would say that it's the best from Season 11, though. Although some of the jokes fell flat, it did have some hilarious ones. And of course, it had the "Sneed's Seed and Feed" sign gag, which I loved. It took me a while to get, though. B+

One of the best from series eleven. B-

I agree. It may have a wacky title, although it does deliver hillarious content. I rated this B+, and its certainly one of the few greater episodes from season 11.

This episode is overated. I am not saying it is a poor episode, but it really doesn't make too much sense. If I ignored that,it would make an A grade. The glove slap scene really was wacky, but a B.

Another genius episode from the pen of Ian Maxtone Graham.

Great episode, I was so surprised that the whole crazed animal thing was pulled off in the way that it was (it didn't really seem to resort to the full on Scullyesque craziness that we came to expect from the AABF run). It was nice seeing Homer's childhood home again, however the circumstances in which the family arrived there were...slightly unbelievable.

    Good gags BUT -

Did anyone else notice the house was...well.. NOT BURNED DOWN!! Only a few seasons earlier the house burned completely to the GROUND. It was eating at me the whole time I was watching it. I went back to my VHS tapes (which was the style at the time) and yup. The house was to the ground.

There were good jokes.. but the episode was retarded..continuity issues, the animals going nuts, etc.. Another "Homer becomes a..." they were just throwing darts to guess the next direction of the show.

Haha, I never thought of that before but you're right. Heh... maybe this episode took place before "Grampa vs. Sexual Inadequacy".

I kinda like the episode- it has a lot of laughs, especially in the first act and a half. When Homer starts growing radioactive Tomacco and the animals go psycho, the episode falters a bit (plus, the basic concept of people getting hooked on an experimental crop was used a season earlier in the hippie episode). It's made up for with the conclusion of WHY they left Springfield in the first place, although Homer getting shot in the arm and only reacting in pain for a couple seconds is totally unrealistic, per typical Scully.

If I had to give a grade it'd be "B" range.

Maybe this episode took place b4 the last one. But you know lately I've come to accept continuity errors in the series. There's the building that didn't exist then did, Nelson's two dads, and of course Homer is 38, Bart is 10, and Homer impregnated Marge right out of high school.

I don't care what you say, buddy. I posted my reply before you posted yours. God damn board software ate my post and I had to retype the whole damn thing.

What are you talking about "took place before"??

We cant assume an episode from season 18 took place before season 1. ? Or is that fair game now??

Obviously the ages and graduation dates are all screwed up. I gave up trying to make sense of them around season 6.

  27. #27

I know, it's messed up. But it's pretty much the only way for the house still standing to make any sense, continuity-wise. Unless some mysterious stranger came along between season 6 and season 11 and rebuilt the house to its exact decrepit (but still standing) state, but even then Homer would say something like, "Hey... I thought that burned down. Oh well!"

The best season 11 episode. Also, in my top 10 list.
