SWF's are good only for backing up. when uploading use GIF.Originally Posted by Dr. Frink
At any rate, you need to work on your curves more. Use the Elipse tool for the eyes.
pretty nice grissom, I like them.
They are great pics
Lines are a bit thin though.

^^how do i change them into gifs in flash ? is that possible ?
Everyone says that. That's just my style of drawing I guess, I think they look fine with the thin linesOriginally Posted by Solid Snake

Use Export > Export Image instead of Export > Export Movie

I'm not trying to shoot down your pic. Since it's pretty good for someone starting out. But, if you work at it, then you can pull off stuff like this:
This is the same thing, which I also drew in Flash, but I spent a bit more time on it. Patience is the key.
Thanks for doing that

My first attempts at creating grabpics:
I used Flash and the coloring guide from LTBQ for the pics.![]()
Pretty good, aside from a few small flaws. Lisa's eyes are huge in the first pic

Yay, Lisa!
Your "first attempt" turned out very good. My only nitpick is thin lines. Aside from that, your grabpics are great, especially the second one.Keep it up!
Good work. Now that I think of it, the old Scratchy is very black compared to the grey one from the recent episodes.Originally Posted by Solid Snake
Those are just great! Nice moments chosen for the pics, too. Sweet stuff.
And again, the second one is my favorite.![]()
How do you draw the lines and colour grabpics. You should use layers if you don't already. Draw the lines on a new layer, then do the colours on the layer below the lines. http://www.doheth.co.uk/codelair/gra...?page=grabpics may help explain it better.Originally Posted by Gorak

New grabs:
Does anyone know/have a good guide on shading? :O
Suus
Awww! For some unknown reason I loved the first one. Nice moment.
Second picture is great, too. My only small nitpick is slightly deformed pupils. It's unnoticeable on the avatar though.
But the first one... it's simply sweet.
Re: shading - I'm not sure about that. Almost all shaded grabs I've seen so far looked worse than the originals. Usually people use simple Photoshop filters for that, and the result looks more "embossed" than really shaded. But if you'll manage to prove the opposite, I'll be only glad![]()
Lisahugger, what a surprise that you love a picture of Lisa being hugged. =) I love it too. It's the same feeling as the one with Marge holding baby Lisa in the rocking chair.
This is of course my favorite thread and I think you're all making terrific pictures! Keep 'em coming!
a good place for grabpics is capefeare.com
Well Duh.
And about 125 of those are mine.
