Season 10 is pretty good compared to the show today. I think we may remember that a little better when the DVD hit the shelves. Haven't watched alot of those in a long time.. I stopped taping the show in that era because of the lessening quality.
5/5 - Very Apeeling
4/5 - Let's never split
3/5 - Mehtastic
2/5 - HELLtern John
1/5 - Replace Cupid, with Stupid

Right now it's sitting at a 3/5 for me, but I need a re-watch to be sure of my grade.
And Swartzweldian, I would have to disagree. I think the show now is of better quality than season ten.
she didnt exactly read shrek the 3rd, which apparently exists as some sort of companion book for a pixar movie. no, this would probably take several minutes (perhaps 10), and would have ultimately depricated the shrek 3 cinematic experience
she merely looked at the book
she saw it, perhaps in the childrens section of a barnes & noble, registered it in her mind as being in existance, and filed it away for later as the subject for a post on BOOKS YOUVE READ. only she just looked at it. and it was shrek 3
in a way its the saddest post ive ever read

We'll see. I may agree with you when I get my S10 dvd.
It's pretty good. Not the best of the season though. 4/5.
Choke on your lies!!!
Episodes revolving around Apu are always good, and this one is no exception. Although it cannot beat masterpieces such as Homer and Apu and Much Apu about nothing, but it's still great. Wonderful love story and one of the lighter episodes of the season.
The first act was actualy the weaker part of the episode in my opinion. It's not that funny as the rest of it, yet it's still very enjoyable. Bart's model of digestive system was funny, though, and the gag with Homer reading Kama Sutra while driving had me laughing a lot.
It gets much better when we get into the Valentine's day story. Some of my favorite moments in the second act are Homer feeling that the lawn-mower add was romantic, Chief Wiggum talking with his wife in bed, Homer searching for his taco bell dog tatoo... The scenes in Moe's tavern are classic, as well as the chasing part.
I thought the ending was excellent, with everybody being happy after all, and a hilarious result of Homer fighting with Fantastic Dan. Elton John's appearence was quite funny, too.

Marmalade,I love marmalade...
a great episode and for me a good example that Apu as husband works pretty good ( before the 8 kids).
Really funny and entertaining episode with no downside for me.
Also great the involvement of some secondary characters in the story like Moe and Skinner.

I'm with Cupid the best season 10 epiosde?
Maybe the MOST boring episode from season 10.With the exception of few (2-3) funny lines from Apu and Homer's line about Kama Sutra, the episode (along with plot and jokes) were quite boring.I still don't get why are so many Apu&Manjula episodes.Well,I don't have nothing with this couple (with Apu) but Manjula is one of the most boring characters in the show. She's just like Maude,Luanne,Lindsey and Brandine.MAYBE,if Manjula was a funny character (wich I hightly doubt she'll will be),maybe I was liked her.Oh,and the episode's grade is:
B-/B
Up,down,up,down,up,down...
What the hell? "I'm With Cupid" is awful. Best of the season my ass. D

It's not the best of S10, I gave 3/5, maybe even this is too much...

3/5, i have nothing more to add
It's a decent episode (3/5). I think the best on season 10 is "Homer To The Max".
"This just in, Powersauce is amazing!"

I liked almost nothing in this episode. Most of the jokes fell flat, the plot was somewhat weak, most of the male characters on the show were jerkasses and the episode just irritated the heck out of me to an extent that I had to really exercise discipline to sit through it. There were some good moments with Apu and Manjula and for that it can get a 1/5 but I think it is much more than it deserves
Not season 10's best (that I would say would be Wild Bart Can't Be Broken), but a decent enough episode in its own right. Solid I guess. 3/5
3/5 not the best of season 10

making apu a husband was the worst decision they made (well, almost) and the whole episode is pretty meh. Nothing really funny, and manjula is one of those al jean characters that adds nothing to the show (gil, cat lady, etc etc) D

meh, 3/5
IMO, the best from season 10 was Bart the Mother....
Troy Maclure picking up the Blue Jay with tongs - priceless

I liked this episode, but even though it tried to pull all the storylines together at the end, only Apu's one seemed convincing.
3/5
third best after lisa gets an a and wizard of evergreen terrace
Probably my favorite of season 10. Pretty much every joke hits where it should, there aren't too many Scully era cliches and, as maligned as she is, I really adore Manjula for some reason. It's a shame they ruined her after this. Also perhaps the most recent episode where the majority of the sex jokes were something other than cringe worthy, which is a notable achievement.
Very solid 4/5.
Great continuity-moments considering Apu.
It felt like him being married with Manjula was a good move story-wise.
(sadly enough, a year later the octuplets showed up and Apu became a worthless character)
I wish we could have some new Kwik-E-Garden-moments.
It is such a serene decor and it seems to have a magnetic effect on the better singer-songwriters.
I could listen to that version of "Your Song" again and again.
The three starter-episodes from season 10 are better than this one though.
Just mentioning this because of the thread-title.
Best of Season 10? No. But it's still a very good episode. I'll give it a 4/5.
Favourite/least favourite by seasons that I own (somewhat stolen from Financial Panther):
3 - Dog of Death/When Flanders Failed 4 - Lisa's First Word/So it's Come to This: A Simpsons Clip Show 5 - Secrets of a Successful Marriage/Bart's Inner Child 6 - And Maggie Makes Three/Another Simpsons Clip Show 7 - Marge Be Not Proud/Bart the Fink 8 - Homer's Phobia/The Simpsons Spin-Off Showcase 9 - King of the Hill/Trash of the Titans 10 - Wild Barts Can't Be Broken/Maximum Homerdrive
Season 10 continues with an Apu and Manjula episode. We begin with Bart being late on an assignment for school. Marge must get the supplies at the Kwik-E-Mart. While there she speaks with Apu and they eventually decide on a dinner date. Homer and Marge arrive at their apartment but when Manjula discovers Apu has been working obscenely long hours the couple get into a big fight.
To make up for his neglect Apu decides to shower Manjula with affection through multiple gifts throughout the week leading up to Valentine's Day. This attracts the attention of many of the women of Springfield though and puts extra pressure on their husbands. At Moe's Homer rallies a group of guys to stop Apu from making them look any worse than they already do. Homer, Moe, Flanders, Chief Wiggum and Dr. Hibbert decide to tail Apu on Valentine's Day and track him to the airport. After a mishap with Elton John they learn Apu has hired a skywriter. Homer manages to stop him from delivering Apu's message of love before being brutally beaten. He inadvertently arrives with roses in front of Marge who is overjoyed. The episode ends with Elton John singing for Apu and Manjula atop the Kwik-E-Mart rooftop garden.
I really don't have much to say for this one. I remember liking it more than I did on this rewatch but it still isn't bad. The story is entertaining enough and probably the best Apu/Manjula episode aside from their wedding, not that that's saying much. Homer leading the men of Springfield was a nice turn but it only had a few jokes I actually liked. I did like Elton John here. He was given several funny gags and the scene with him at the very end comes off as genuinely sweet and was incorporated into the plot nicely. Aside from that its an average episode that isn't very memorable, at least for me. Still, 3/5.
EDIT: Not even close to being the best episode of the season either.
This episode isn't all that bad but I wouldn't say it's the best episode of Season 10, that's for sure. The two episodes that aired right after I'm With Cupid were a lot better in my opinion (that's to say Marge Simpson in: Screaming Yellow Honkers and Make Room For Lisa). I'd put I'm With Cupid somewhere in the middle of my Season 10 ranking. There is a pretty decent story in this episode (even though I wouldn't consider it to be one of the best "Apu" episodes. My favorite one being Much Apu About Nothing) and I certainly remember loving the end of it with the fight between Homer and the pilot. The jealousy scenes were also very well done.
