Uhhh
It was not-a-so-good.
Act 1 was a typical trilogy part. Kinda meh but with a few funnies thrown in. 2/5
Act 2 was really short and it seemed like it was written to be not funny. 2/5
Act 3 was the best I guess, but that's not saying much. 3/5I was saying "Boo-urns."

I usually don't love these three-short-story episodes, but I thought this one was pretty good. I really liked the first act.

she didnt exactly read shrek the 3rd, which apparently exists as some sort of companion book for a pixar movie. no, this would probably take several minutes (perhaps 10), and would have ultimately depricated the shrek 3 cinematic experience
she merely looked at the book
she saw it, perhaps in the childrens section of a barnes & noble, registered it in her mind as being in existance, and filed it away for later as the subject for a post on BOOKS YOUVE READ. only she just looked at it. and it was shrek 3
in a way its the saddest post ive ever read

Not bad. Third story was the best one; pretty faithful to the original Poseidon Adventure. Lisa's parody song of The Morning After was good for some chuckles.

The only thing that I really liked about this episode was the end with the Pirates of the Caribbean parody. The third act was solid, but the first two weren't very funny, but they weren't train wrecks either. There should have been some resolution to story. C, but the grade will probably change when I see it again.

Fifteen 5/5's three minutes after it ended? Huh?
Pretty mainstream, post Season 15 stuff--nothing really dumb, nothing really outstanding, but it kept my interest. The Mayflower story was the best, IMO.
Grade: 3/5, or C+Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

Dissapointing...wait, not, that would mean that I was actually expecting something good from this episode.
I dont remember laughing at anything, it was pretty poor in my opinion.

It was the worst of the season for me... So many failed gags and just boring up until act 3. One of the only jokes I laughed at was Carl's "Eh, not that confusing." The animation and music for the episode was amazing though.

meh. Pretty much a standard cliche trilogy ep. A few chuckles, thats it.
I really wish The writers would stop this "setup and delivery" style of dialogue for jokes. It's just painful to listen to. Also, putting a pop song montoge in even a history episode now... enough is enough. I'm sick of pop-song montages. It's at these two points that the show stoops to really low "paint by numbers" cliche sitcom humor. It's all very disheartening to see this in The Simpsons.

Ugh, I didn't really like it, though it did have its moments. The first act was decent, about a 2/5. The second act seemed very rushed and just wasn't really that good, 1.5/5. I thought the third act was the best, and was aired at a great time, with the remake of The Poseidon Adventure coming out this summer I believe. I gave it a 3/5. Overall, it was what I was expecting, a 2/5.

Meh, the art direction was brilliant, but the stories were a mixed bag. I'm relieved that we didn't get a Titanic story, as any jokes now, especially to the 1997 movie would be terribly dated.
The timing of the jokes hasve definitely improved recently. But yeah, they should've finished the ending.

The episode had a lot of small chuckles throughout each story. No story was honestly better than another, all were even in terms of story, character and humor. Again, though, not sure why the back story wasn't resolved. At any rate, each story was mediocre. But I was expecting no less. I'm not a fan of any 3-"tale" episode except for the THOHs (and even those have not been much good in the last five years or so).
