Season 17 continues when Grampa becomes a matador! This occurs after a botched suicide attempt caused by his ruining of Springfield's chance to get a football franchise. Everyone in town hates him until he succeeds at killing bulls. Lisa is naturally opposed to the brutal sport so Abe must choose between her or his fans.

I recall enjoying this episode the last time I watched it about a year ago, but not nearly as much today. I enjoyed Maggie's subtitles, the newspaper gag, Grampa's requested last imagery before death, and a few more scattered gags, but it wasn't funny enough to be that good overall. Another forgettable Season 17 episode, 2.5 rounded down for the poll. An extremely quick review but nothing really jumped out at me at being worthy of deeper examination. Lisa and Abe's story came too late in the episode and the resolution was passable I suppose...

PS: I always found the LA video more bizarre than anything else.

Oh god, AngusCastle, ye speak the truth. This is an unfunny mess - it starts off pretty well, but after Homer starts shouting at Grampa it becomes horrible. Actually uncomfortable to watch - stuff like people trying to burn Grampa, "Jesus Hates You" and the Diepod thing. Ugh. And don't even get me started on Lisa's hypocrisy at the end. The bulls were mauling innocent people, but she was happy... 1/5 is too good for this episode. -1000/5
