    Of course they will - it's a Season 9 episode...unless I'm missing something?

The episode was banned after 9/11. Since then it has only been shown with the parts that contained the twin towers, cut out.

I think I've mentioned this a few times before. If Fox can release "The Lone Gunmen" on DVD - a show which had its first episode feature a government plot to crash a 737 into one one of the twin towers, complete with a special effects scene of the plane just missing one of the towers (from the pilot's POV) - then they'll have no problem putting this episode in its entirety on the DVD.

It was only banned by those channels that wanted to ban it. A public release DVD would be completely uncut. Look at the Die Hard Trilogy - that involves terrorists blowing up a skyscraper, a plane and parts of New York in each film respectively, yet all three are still available uncut on public release.

Some stations still run the full episode, I just saw it a few weeks ago.

And yeah why would they edit a DVD release?

Cool thats really good, sure would be great if they set it out like that. Of course Lisa would have to be looking through the telescope for it to work, but I get the idea. nice

thnx for the kind words Gibbles

i might go back and rework it, or i might leave it as it is, i couldn't figure out a way to get Lisa to look through the telescope.

i realised why u guys were talking about a telescope being on the front, in "Bart of Darkness" Lisa gives bart a telescope (which she won at the optics festival). i forgot what season that one was from lol.

That's a pretty good design - only thing is you'd need to incorporate a theme from that with the inner DVD art. Maybe based on The Springfield Files, with Lisa watching a UFO?

Yeah I think I like it, but are there no other characters that can be put in the background?

    no it wasn't...

and only a few affiliates stopped running the episode.

No reason why it wouldn't be on the S9 set.

That's great too, but is it simply a trick of the telescope that it can turn Lisa's half-shut eye into a completely open one with eyelashes?

Me too. Ditto with stuff from other countries, like the UK...heck, I've got a Sky One trailer on tape for The Mansion Family, which I'd be happy to send to Fox if they wanted to put it on The Complete Season 11. Even as an easter egg.

I can imagine the reaction if it had been.

Fans: "A shame, but at least they went out while the show was still good. It could have really got stale had it carried on for a few more years"

Everyone else: "OMG TEH SIMPSONS CANCELLED?!?!?!?!! WTF BRING IT BACK NOW OMG!!!1!!!!1!!!1oneonoeonoes"

And there'd have probably been this big petition, and they'd be forced to bring it back. Maybe.

Nice promo cover I_Bent_My_Wookiee. It'll work nicely if the 8th Season Boxset was Yellow... I'm looking forward to this release although I have a feeling it'll be in late April in America and Late July/Early August for United Kingdom.

Oh how I would love late April. God how good would that be.

But American Dad is coming out in late April, and it already has an Amazon page.

Here's a very shitty attempt by me at drawing some mock cover art for this DVD set:

I'm glad to see someone else talking about an April release date. Who else thinks that April is possible?

April might be possible, but wouldn't they have already said if it was being released that early?
Binky, nice cover. Hopefully some other people make some covers, its fun to look at them.
she didnt exactly read shrek the 3rd, which apparently exists as some sort of companion book for a pixar movie. no, this would probably take several minutes (perhaps 10), and would have ultimately depricated the shrek 3 cinematic experience

she merely looked at the book

she saw it, perhaps in the childrens section of a barnes & noble, registered it in her mind as being in existance, and filed it away for later as the subject for a post on BOOKS YOUVE READ. only she just looked at it. and it was shrek 3

in a way its the saddest post ive ever read
