one of my favorite and most memorable episodes from season 8.
the scene with the fire drill was hilarious and also when Mr. Burns and Homer go
mad in the cabin was a great moment.

    B+

I don't say this often but I'll go with a low 5/5. A lot of really funny stuff and I love the characterizations as well.

This is a fun episode for Homer and Burns. The others didn't have much to do, but there were some quality gags. For me, characters going crazy almost always makes for a great episode.

One of my favourites from Season 8. The mountain ranger was a pretty funny character, and it was enjoyable the whole way through. A solid 5/5 for me.
Favourite/least favourite by seasons that I own (somewhat stolen from Financial Panther):

    3 - Dog of Death/When Flanders Failed 4 - Lisa's First Word/So it's Come to This: A Simpsons Clip Show 5 - Secrets of a Successful Marriage/Bart's Inner Child 6 - And Maggie Makes Three/Another Simpsons Clip Show 7 - Marge Be Not Proud/Bart the Fink 8 - Homer's Phobia/The Simpsons Spin-Off Showcase 9 - King of the Hill/Trash of the Titans 10 - Wild Barts Can't Be Broken/Maximum Homerdrive

This is one of those episodes that gradually get better with each viewing. 5/5.

"Only WHO can prevent forest fires?"
    (Presses you)
"You pressed you. Referring to me. That is incorrect. The correct answer is you."
"Mom, can Lisa and I play outside, away from the bear?"

one of my favourites of all time. definitely the best of season 8 and well past any other episodes for me. homer and burns together are a riot. i love bart and lisa with smithers. as well as marge with the ranger. everything the ranger says cracks me up (plus the look and voice of him).

i love the fire drill opening. "get out of my way!"

    great sequence.

"i lost my map! you haven't been issued a map yet."

    great gag.

"what comes after twelve? one. no, after twelve."

"hmm. follow me. we'll take the chair lift. it'll give us an eagle-eye view of the area directly beneath the chair lift."

"kids, your father's gonna be just fine! okay, everybody, put on your corpse-handling gloves, we've got two frozen bodies buried somewhere in this mountain."

    my favourite joke. "it's showtime!"

now my favourite piece of animation below:

    "unless...."

    then,

an hilarious ending to a fantastic episode.

    i give it an A++++++++

I love Mountain of Madness, but season 8 is my favorite season, so I wouldn't call this my favorite episode.

    But it's up there.

    C+

Bad subplot, and the main plot was dragging out too. Had 4-5 good jokes, my favorite is the one with Lenny and Carl discussing if the cabin is a metaphorical thing. Also loved Mr.Burns walk in the beginning. OK episode, but the power wasent there.

The same as several other episodes in seasons 7, 8, 9. I swear when I was younger Channel 10 in Australia would just cycle through these 3 seasons only and I got EXTREMELY tired of them and didn't watch them for several years. Now I can't watch them enough! This episode is a hilarious one and one of the last Burns episodes where he isn't a pathetic old man who has to use other people for his "evil" schemes. I have a copy of the table draft script for this and it only changed very slightly. Classic Swartzwelder episode.

    4/5

5/5....love this fucking episode.I love the moments when Homer and Burns are locked in the Warehouse and they slowly go insane...pure genius comedy. The warehouse thing kind of reminds me of the Charlie Chaplin classic when they have to eat a shoe to survive...but I digress

2/5 just a really boring episode and Bart and Lisa are extremely annoying in this episode.
    Overrated episode for sure

colourful race horses are more exciting and less iritating, no doubt.

You wouldn't know a good episode if it hit you in the head
