This was a very funny episode, my favorite joke being the cliche answer - "NOBODY LIKES MILHOUSE!". 9/10

Decent, but a little bland and dissapointing for Season 8.

Pretty fun, but not one of the best from this series.

Quite good episode, with a cute and funny story. And the scene mentioned by Paul is absolutely hilarious! B+/A-

5/5 I thought this was really good. They managed to show Nelson in a new light with-out wreckin his character.

One of my least favourite episodes of the eighth season. The episode itself is of pretty high quality - there are a few great jokes - "Oh man, you kissed a girl?" "That is so gay!", but I just don't care for episodes about eight year old girls dating bullies.

One of the few season 8 episodes that feels like a traditional 'Simpsons' episode. Really good stuff.

I like "Lisa's Date with Density" quite a bit. The characters feel very natural here, and Lisa and Nelson are both in sympathetic positions. I could relate to Lisa, who's trying her best to change someone, but I could also relate to Nelson, who's understanding of love is childish at best yet he's trying...but at the same time he can't avoid all his old tendencies. It also said something about how different one's concept of love might be at that age. Had an interesting look at both Nelson and Lisa's character, I think.
Anyway, it's a cute, funny episode. Poor Milhouse was finally (sorta) redeemed at the end, too. He really had it rough in this episode, didn't he?

I'll give this a 5/5 for no other reason than the fact that Homer's phone scam was for me one of the most entertaining and hilarious highlights of my entire time of watching the show.

The relationship between Lisa and Nelson was also enjoyable -although you could pretty much predict the storyline from beginning to end. I liked the fact that they gave Nelson's character some depth and dimension here and gave us some greater insight into his personality. It was interesting to see him beyond the usual stereotypical role that he's assigned in most roles

I probably shouldn't comment any more on this episode because I haven't seen it in ages -I'm just going from what I remember

Probably, because I doubt Lisa would date Database.

So your issue is not with the fact that he was a bully, but because...why?

In my experiences girls are always attracted to bullies regardless of age. But anyway, for year's I've been calling this episode "Lisa's date with Destiny" now I feel like an idiot.

I actually didn't care for this one too much at the time it came out, matter of fact I remember hating it. But looking back both characters were done well and very much to their character on the show. I still think it is one of the weaker episodes of the season but nonetheless a very good episode. I'd say somewhere around the 3 - 4/5 range.

Did you watch 'New Kid On the Block'? Lisa sighs romantically when Bart says that Jimbo's a 'rebel who plays by his own rules.' Therefore, since her being attracted to rebellious people was already established four seasons ago, it isn't out of character.

Then there's also the fact that she has pictures of Corey plastered over her walls - just like any stereotypical eight your old girl.

Was that a whole episode though? Was the whole episode based around her sighing at 'rebel who plays by his own rules'?

No, the episode wasn't based on her saying that, but it shows proof that her character has been known to like the rebellious type.

Exactly. It doesn't matter how much of the episode it takes up; it's there and it proves that Lisa has some attraction to rebellious males.

And if I recall, Frank Grimes' death wasn't nearly the 'whole' of 'Homer's Enemy', and yet you seem to grade the entire episode based on it.

Well there ya go. Your hatred of 'Density' is ill-founded because Lisa has already exhibited such behavior before, and based on your disproportionate and illogical grading (in which a small fraction of an episode can represent the whole), Lisa's sighing may as well have been the entire episode anyway.
