It flips around from one thing to another; race, stranger, boyband...I almost like the first act, but even Ralph's singing can't save it from everything beyond Bart's music video. 2/5

Awful, probably

One of those "meh" episodes, I don't think it's the worst episode ever, but I can understand why people think that it is. But some good jokes and gets a decent 3/5.
Definitely not in the top 5 worst imo, but still pretty "meh." There were a few laughs, and I didn't feel as patronized by having to watch NSYNC as, say, the entire episode of Bart-Mangled Banner.

I actually think it's pretty average. I'd rather watch it than certain other episodes in its season, like Homer vs. Dignity or Simpson Safari. N'Sync's apperance was beyond stupid, however.

1/5, an awful episode.
Kids, let me tell you about another so-called ``wicked'' guy. He had long hair and some wild ideas. He didn't always do what other people thought was right. And that man's name was...
I forget. But the point is... I forget that, too. Marge, you know what I'm talking about. He used to drive that blue car?

Ralph: I Won! I Won!
Principal Skinner: No Ralph this means you're failing English
Ralph: Me fail English? That's unpossible.
Honestly..This is a scully era guilty pleasure of mine. The songs are catchy..Its really not that bad, aside from Nsync having to be in it.
"Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the object worship of the state. It will prescribe for every one where they are to work, what they are to work at, where they may go and what they may say. Socialism is an attack on the right to breathe freely. No socialist system can be established without a political police. They would have to fall back on some form of Gestapo, no doubt very humanely directed in the first instance."
-Winston Churchill

I don't know why this one gets such a bad rap. It's not one of the best by any stretch, but its a fun little episode. I'm sure some of the negativity comes from people's hate for N*Sync/Boy Bands, but really, they weren't as intolerable as some other music stars that have appeared on the show.
The songs go a few chuckes from me, and there's nothing more ridiculous than having that bass voice come out of Ralph's mouth.
3/5. I don't hate it. Sorry.
Ignore.

A vary stupid episode.
1.5/5
It's not as terrible I used to think it was, but it just falls flat on its face passed the first act. It jumped on a really obnoxious bandwagon and the jokes are extremely mediocre. It's nowhere near as funny or clever as the South Park episode "something you can do with your finger" which does a better job at exposing the boy band phase for the complete shitstorm it really was
I say this episode deserves a D+ or a C-, not completely terrible, but still an episode I almost always avoid

It's funny I've never actually seen this episode. With all the hate it gets I'm afraid to watch.
One of the worst episodes ever. Pure shit. Half the time I was sitting around thinking "Did I accidentally inhale pot or is this episode just half-finished?" I couldn't even believe they considered this stuff suitable for airing. 1/5
"Attention Duelists!"
^Inhaling marijauana smoke is an enjoyable experience. This episode not so much.
This is one of those eps that I don't hate as much as most people (everyone has them). It's far too wacky and over-the-top to be really enjoyable; the plot jumps from one scene to another, culminating in a really nonsensical climax. At the same time, though, the gags themselves aren't terrible; a few I liked include Ralph's low singing voice, the fake-out Lt. L.T. Smash joke, "superliminal," "I wanna twirl," and I actually thought the over-the-top nature of the music videos and songs worked to the show's advantage.
It goes without saying that N'SYNC was a really lame guest "voice"...but their extremely ridiculous entrances still make me laugh for some reason. One of the few instances in the episode where I think the wackiness works.
Even so, the whole thing is just too wild and unrestrained. I'd give it around a C- or 2.5/5, but I voted 3 on the poll mainly out of pity.
I'd never call it the worst episode ever but it is quite shit. The only quote that really made me laugh was Skinner's "she lives with me". The N'SYNC appearance at least made some sense unlike plenty of other guest spots. I can see why the songs never made it onto one of the Simpsons albums.

It has its moments, but not enough to save it from such a stupid story.
