I concur. Kathleen Turner did one of my favourite guest voices ever, and the main and sub-plots are both equally funny. I also love this line:

'I'm a white male aged 18-49, everyone listens to me no matter how dumb my suggestions are.'

Underappreciated great episode with tons of hilarious moments. Everyone was in perfect character, and as Veryjammy said, Kathleen Turner was great. 10/10

That is quite possibly one of my favorite jokes from the show. The rest of the episode is just as great and hilarious as that. A

Great episode, and very underrated. Turner was hilarious throughouther whole appearence. 10/10

Lisa: You konw, if we get through to just that one little girl, it will all have been worth it.
Stacy Lovell: Yes, especially if she happens to pay 500,000 dollars for the doll
    Lisa: What?
Stacy Lovell: Nothing, Kudoos(sp) to you Lisa!

This episode is great, so it deserves a bump. I might like this one more because it doesn't work on my DVD, but from what I remember, it was a scillinatingly ingenious piece of handicraft. The story is just so perfect, with so many jokes to keep it rolling. I may never have laughed harder at any joke than Bart's names for the doll. Blabbermouth, the Jerky doll for Jerks, Wendy Windbag Ugly Doris, Hortense the Mule-Faced Doll, Loudmouth Lisa, and my favorite, Stupid Lisa Garbage Face. Do you really have to think hard about what I gave this episode?

This has some of the best-ever grampa, but I thought some of the things involving Kathleen Turner's character were odd and unfunny. 4/5

Great episode. The first act is a little weak I think but it just gets better after that. This is the type of Lisa (for the most part) that the writers should be trying to emulate when she tackles an issue. A number of classic jokes including the spidey sense Malibu Stacy and a few subtle lines from Kathleen Turner. Could have been a 4 but I gave it a low 5/5.

Nothing too spectacular about this episode but its solid for the full 22 minutes and has some great famous gags.

kinda amazes me how underappreciated this episode gets. not only the humor was great in both sides of the plot - which btw could not be found any fault of flow, characterization, etc. - but also Kathleen Turner's performance provided some of the best guest spots that hte show's ever shown. A+

Meh, a pretty average Lisa episode. I found her annoying and the plot didn't really interest me. Pretty funny, though. 3/5

...uhm it seemed like nothing special at all to me. Up there with James Woods, Dustin Hoffman, Phil Hartman, Rodney Dangerfield, and so on?

Big fan of Lisa episodes, and this is no exception. "Kids didn't much care for the taste of dried onion meal, but they loved the doll."

I also love the line, "the down to earth good looks of Eleanor Roosevelt." If you ever saw Eleanor Roosevelt, you'd know why this is funny.
