Another great Season 6 episode, back when they knew how to do Homer stories properly. It's quite lightweight stuff but very entertaining, plus it has the fantastic 'We Do' song.

A-/A Just lacking a little something, not much depth to the story and it's not quite a competitor with the best gag episodes.

5/5 i enjoyed it a little more the first time, but this one was one of those episodes you really heart everyone talking about it when it aired. Very imaginative and hilarious in certain moments.

Excellent, but maybe not the best of the awesome season 6.

Once again I have to agree with Veryjammy. The fantastic "We Do" song has done a lot for the success of this episode.

"Oh, OK, have it your own way, Marge. I'll be back in a minute [gets up]: I'm...[sly] going outside... to... stalk... Lenny and Carl. [realizes] *D'OH*!"

A classic episode, which for the most part is quickly paced with never a dull moment. Homer is just about at his funniest in this episode.
There's tons of good jokes and hillarious scenes.
I also like the use of Patrick Stewart as Number 1 - he's gotta be one of the best Simpson guest stars.
This episode's also got a really good song - "We Do".
The only fault, I find, is that it runs out of steam a bit at the end, which prevents it from being perfect.

We live in a society of rules. Why do you think I took you to all those Police Academy movies? For fun? Well, I didn't hear anybody laughing! Did you?! Except at that guy who made sound effects. Brrruuummm!, zhoo-zhoo!, rrraaassspppp!, honk!, honk!, pkeeerrrrgghhh!, ahoo-hoo, he-he, hoo-hoo. Where was I? Oh yeah... Stay out of my booze!

It's a pretty funny and entertaining episode with Homer.
I like for example the scene when Homer joins the stonecutters. 4.5/5

I would've given it an A+, but things got kind of slow when Homer got sick of being let win and decided to help people. There were still some GREAT moments after that point, though. This is an episode to remember.

One of the best season 6 episodes, for sure. A well-paced, solid, captivating plot that had a very distinct tone that was unique from almost any other episode featuring classic and sympathetic Homer characterization, an awesome lead-in to the main plot, a warm but still humorous ending...this episode has it all. 5/5

5/5, one of the best episodes of all time.
Kids, let me tell you about another so-called ``wicked'' guy. He had long hair and some wild ideas. He didn't always do what other people thought was right. And that man's name was...
I forget. But the point is... I forget that, too. Marge, you know what I'm talking about. He used to drive that blue car?

-- Homer's parable of the guy in the blue car, ``Homer the Heretic''

    Ralph: I Won! I Won!
Principal Skinner: No Ralph this means you're failing English
Ralph: Me fail English? That's unpossible.

This episode explores an important character trait of Homer's... that he likes monkeys.

I would rate it a 5/5 because it was great. As the person above me said, it was funny when Homer was trying to think of an excuse and then said exactly what he was going to do.

Awesome episode. Genius. The Stonecutters song is excellent. I had it as my XP startup sound at one point.

Truly fantastic episode. Easily in my top 10 of all time. Episodes like this are exactly why Season 6 is my favorite season. A+
