Hey, Chief, do you reckon it was a coincidence?

And thanks for telling Ivan what the cover was. I would have, but I wasn't sure what the issue was called.

Thanks to CousinMerl for this great sig!

The what? But it is the writers you're supposed to blame, since they are the ones that put CBG in them (remember, above I said how you should blame the writers rather than all of Bongo). And the reprints thing has me puzzled; they're not reprints, since they're released exclusively for that country

The new picture for Treasure Trove is Uncle Burns, the one where Homer and co travel to find the gold with Mr. Burns.
Ugh, I thought that story was terrible.

I wish they'd publish all those strips that go into the newspapers into a 'treasure trove' issue. I haven't seen hardly any, and as I don't get the Times or whatever it's in I don't think I'll ever see them! (Although I did see one once, which I thought was good...) But unless they offer free posters or the price is really low, I probably won't be getting this.

And yeah, Uncle Burn$ was OK for a read, quite a few funny jokes.....but way too zany and silly to be taken seriously. (Yes, I got the parody, but still...)

    A tribute to Bart Simpson

You think THAT's bad? What about that time when I was turned into a Tetris block?

Bongo probably wouldn't let Titan; Bongo themselves is having enough trouble as it is trying to put them into a trade paperback collection.

If you look on LETS, some of them are on there. Just if you're interested.

But you just said the writers don't interact with each other, so they probably don't know they're overusing CBG and others, so I can't blame them! I'm so confused...

I agree with you on the Uncle Burns story, although I did like that scene at the end (not the best, but the last few issues have helped me appreciate it more...)

Ah, sorry for the confusion. I meant just blame the actual writer that included CBG (especially Boothby, he uses him in nearly every one of his stories).

Let me guess, because Lovejoy not only appears BUT he also speaks? x2

the ad for the one with burns on the cover says free simpsons movie poster inside
And remember, there's also a Simpsons Movie poster in the next US issue (#132).

Bongo Comics has created an all-new, 16-page, full-color Futurama mini-comic that they will be giving away at the San Diego Comic Con.
The comic celebrates the upcoming release of the Futurama DVD movies.
The story is written by Futurama writer Patric Verrone, with art by Bill Morrison and Jason Ho. So be sure to visit the Bongo booth during the convention to pick up your exclusive free Futurama comic!
Here's a look at the cover art :-

Ivan, I read your PM and I DO at some point want to work for Bongo, I think that my drawings aren't good enough to be commercial.

Just got the new UK Treasure Trove release and the biggest suprise is the size of this thing - it's tiny !.
Its about 3/4 the height of a USA comic and about 1/2 an inch less wide.
Very suprised by this as the UK comics are normally much bigger than the USA ones.
Its got 68 pages and features the following stories/features :-
    Uncle Burns
    Bartmans 1001 costumes
    Itchy and Scratchy in 'Kill-er-up'
    Baloon Payment
Bart Fink and the mighty Mississip

It also comes with a free classic quotes poster (seperate not stapled in) and costs £2.50.
The next issue is on sale 6th Sep.
Also looks like th UK is getting its own Summer Shindig release on 9th Aug.

simpsons comics disgust me. They quality is sad.
I only get the Simpson and Futurama cross over comics. Or the Tree house of horror ones.
I like the fact of all the different artists works.,
I'm formal. But I'm here to party.

    Latest UK Ratings:

'The Flunky': 6.5/10. Had a good start, but Burns seemed....stupid. Didn't really like the end.

'Treasure Trove' 7/10. Pretty good, but was kinda...lame.
A response to the YouTube video, 'Family Guy Steals From The Simpsons' - Funniest thing I've ever read.
If you guys didn't notice, Family Guy was produced by the same person that made the Simpsons.
You can't steal from yourself, therefore, Family Guy can't steal from the Simpsons

A lot of the Australian releases - namely Bart Simpson, the season specials (ie: Winter Wing Ding), Simpsons Classics and our THOH and Crossover reprints are all printed in that size.

Anyway, I got Simpsons #131 and Bart #36...I thought the Bart one was great. The Simpsons one was pretty good, but it could have been better. I was also going to pick up THOH Hoodoo Voodoo Brouhaha, but decided I'd get it next time.

Yeah I finally checked out 36 too and it was pretty damn good. Kinda more pleasant than funny generally, but the stories had a very earthy and almost s.3-4 feel mixed with some later qualities of the show. Its earthiness was the most surprising thing, it was a very down to earth issue wasn't it? Very little if any zaniness. The one unintentional chuckle from me came from the fact that Jasper kinda looks like he's stalking whats-her-face when the old guys and Bart teach her a lesson. lol But it was all good, the old guys were fun, Milhouse fell into a mail box twice, Martin pulled a tl; dr, and apparently Ralph is the prophet of an ancient tribe.

I guess that grey haired kid with the blue jacket who's name escapes me is really really popular.

I'm actually really surprised at your opinion on the latest Bart issue, mainly since three of the four stories were written by Mary Trainor..."Simpson Family Robinson Crusoe" anyone

Is it really surprising? Just because she wrote that, that doesn't suddenly mean everything she has to do sucks. All I know is whats in front of me and it was a pretty good issue.

Yeah it as surprising...especially when your rant on Simpson Family was basically saying 'it suuuuucked' over and over
