Why are you arguing about "best writers"?

So true, this thread is seriously becoming off-topic, it was supposed to inform us about new episodes which will appear with season 17...
    My personal seasons' rankings (best to worst): 06 > 04 > 03 > 07 > 05 > 09 > 08 > 16 > 15 > 02 > 14 > 13 > 01 > 10 > 11 > 12

Which Simpsons character would I be if I was a Simpsons character?
According to the quiz on the NHC, I would be...

" Homer thinks that Grampa might not actually be his real father. Michael York guest stars as the man Homer thinks might really be his dad. "

I wonder if this will possibly involve anouther return of Mother Simpson?

"My Mother the Carjacker" was a great sequel to "Mother Simpson" so, why not?
It could be a great idea as long as the character does not get ruined.

No more info about upcoming / confirmed season 17 titles?

Stephanie Gillis and Daniel Chun are both new then? Have either of them done anything of note in the past?

Has there been any details of when the new season will be starting?

  9. #279

No, those details will come some time in July, along with more detailed episode descriptions and probably new plotlines too.

Well I think Daniel Chun has been credited as a staff writer for 2 or 3 years now, he's just never been credited with a script.

Dig up the corpses and move the gravestones. It's not that hard, Paul, I mean Clarence.

No I checked tv tome and imdb, no records before this so this is presumably their first writing job and their both new, young writers. But Daniel Chun was credited as staff writer since season 15.

Producers had always indicated that the movie would likely debut after the TV show ran its course. But with the show continuing to perform well, averaging about 10 million viewers last season, the Simpsons brain trust decided to move forward now, according to a rep for 20th Century Fox, which will distribute the Simpsons film.

"They are working on hammering out a script, but there's no title or production date or release date," studio spokeswoman Antonia Coffman told E! Online Wednesday. "We always wanted the show to end first but it just keeps going. Now they've worked out a team to simultaneously do [both the film and show]."

This fall will see The Simpsons embark on season 17. Fox and show producers foresee the cartoon cast fulfilling its current contract, which runs through a 19th season.

This confirms that the movie won't be the end of the show and suggests that Fox is very likely to continue at least until S19.

It's probably reliable, as E! is an American TV channel that reports news about celebrities and entertainment. This article's pretty much the same as any other article confirming a Simpsons movie.

"There's a couple of things they don't teach you in Harvard Business School. One is how to cope with defeat; the other is how to handle a shotgun. I'm going to do both right now."

    No, it's not that reliable.

Well, we know the movie won't be made when the show ends and that it'll be renewed to at least season 19, so who cares?

If they're going to renew up to season 19, I cant see why they wouldn't go one more season up and make it an even 20.

Great news! But to be honest, I was secretly hoping that the movie would not be the end of the series.

Actually, I really don't know if both Fox and Matt Groening will ever be able to say "stop". The show is generating so much money and its audience is always somewhat here...

Many, many films had at least one sequel, even if people did not ask for it or were bored by the first; IMO, unless a huge number of fans say "stop", The Simpsons show is not going to end soon...

because it's not a numbers game. there's money, people, and contracts involved here. what's wrong with 19.

It's not 20. There's something stoic and noble about having a show on for twenty years. Yes, other things definitely factor in, but the fact remains that twenty just SOUNDS better than nineteen.

But I could be completely off.

They say 'stop' by not watching it anymore...because they're no longer fans.

Ok, so "The Italian Bob" is confirmed as HABF02. No writer is listed though.

If the title is confirmed, then wouldn't the John Frink writing credit also be confirmed, as Tomacco got the hint?
