No, it would be kind of a mixture of other episodes.Originally Posted by Silverlimit

As for the ones I haven't prematurely speculated on yet...
HABF12⅛ - Take My Life, Disease
If handled right, with a good mixture of satire, humor and (depending on who the main character is) emotion, it could be good. But there's not really enough info to judge.
HABF0π - Yule Log Trilogy
The thought of an all-musical segment is really intriguing, and just that is enough to look forward to.

Oh yeah, and FOX just got a press release stating what new episodes we're getting in November, which gives us longer/new descriptions for THOH XVI, Poisoning, See Homer Run, and Bonfire of the Manatees. I'll paste it here later.
Back on topic, aside from the one musical segment in the christmas trilogy, any news/ideas/theories on what the other two segments could be?
i hope there is a season 17

Well, there is, otherwise this thread wouldn't be here...Originally Posted by homerofwar

Sounds intresting
HAAAAAABF?? The Italian BOOOOOOB
The Italian bob but with shot through a filter to give weird a distorted effect on the animation, and with tweaked colors.
I love making jokes that only I get, it must make everyone think I'm a stupid weirdo.

all right, let's stop cluttering the thread with fake info for a few months. don't want this thread to turn into a walking joke.
i guess it'd actually be a stickied joke...
yeah i guess u are right

I will to wager 400 quataloos that someone fucks up before July and posts another "Homer's Prostitute" idea.Originally Posted by Vox Nerduli

Now are the Christmas and "assisted suicide" episodes genuine? I remember reading about them in articles, but were they accurate?

And for that matter, the "assisted suicide" one could just be a mere one-liner or something. Anyone else remember in Season 14 when the "Mr. Teeny is released into the wild and doesn't get along with the other monkeys" joke from Large Marge was speculated as a plot for a whole episode? There was a few other short jokes that have been leaked in interviews and articles that have often been speculated as an upcoming episode plot.Originally Posted by Binky

November 9? Does anyone know when the latest possible World Series game is this year? (Yes, I know it went to November 4 in 2001, but that was mostly because of a) the Series going to Game 7 and b) 9/11.)Originally Posted by Nameless
Anyway, that marks the latest a new Halloween special has ever aired on Fox/Global so far.
The Girl Who Slept Too Little: I have two problems here with the family protesting the stamp museum. The first is that Lisa tends to like museums, and the second is that Bart has a stamp collection.
See Homer Run: I think this episode could be hilarious if it's well done, or horrible if it's not.
Last of the Red Hot Mamas: Sorta like the Ricky Gervais episode, in that what we know sounds good, but I'm worried about what we don't know.
Yellow Crush: Doesn't that surfboard thing sorta sound like the poser skateboard in Barting Over?
My Fair Laddy: To me, this sounds like a combined retread of "Lisa's Date with Density" and the subplot of "Duffless", except with Groundskeeper Willie being Lisa's experiment rather than Nelson or Bart.
The Fight of the Homers: This also sounds like a combined retread to me, of "Homer's Enemy" and "Send In the Clones". Let's hope the humour in these two segments hasn't gotten old.
The Italian Bob: Let's hope this keeps the Sideshow Bob series alive.
Slim Simpson: OK, how many times has Homer tried to lose weight over the years?
Oh Father, Where Art Thou?: Perhaps after this episode we'll finally make sense of Abe's ramblings.
The Three Days of Christmas: What I didn't like about "She of Little Faith" was that the rocket, the new church, and the Buddhism seemed disjointed. I hope this one has a more connected plot.
Chop Suey!: I wonder if this will be one of Moe's annual suicide attempts... and what role Mr. Bergstrom will play in it.
alt.tv.homer: I hope it targets us as well as "The ISP Show" did.
The Sound of Szyzlak: Jungle Remix: I wonder if this will make Moe's song into the hit "Everybody Hates Ned Flanders" was. And if David Byrne will play a part in it.
The Italian BOOOOOOB: Should be as cool as "Candle in the Wound" was.
I hope the "joke episodes" actually turn out to be real ones, as most of them sound pretty good.
Bart: "Please don't call our parents!"
Chief: "I'm afraid I have to for hijinks like these. Hijinks - it's a funny word. Three dotted letters in a row."
Eddie: "Is it hyphenated?"
Chief: "It used to be, back in the good old days, you know. Of course, every generation hyphenates the way it wants to. Then there's *NSYNC! What the hell is that? Jump in any time there, Eddie, these are good topics."
The return of Mr. Bergstrom is a real fact? I don't want to see him coming back at all! It will just not work! But I hope to...
The one about Grandpa possibly not being Homer's father doesn't sound good for me, either.
And The Girl Who Slept Too Little is another plot I don't find very good.
Italian Bob...after watching Goo Goo Gai Pan I'm terribly tired of vacation episodes. Please, make this one a little less wackier (or at least fun-wacky, which means NOT OVERUSING OF HOMER PAIN GAGS, possibly the first and one of the few flaws in current episodes).
But...season 16 has been great, so possibly there would be lots of good episodes.

is there an alternate season 17 information thread where people can read the INFORMATION we have on SEASON 17 without having to wade through a lot of bad jokes, fabricated titles and banal speculation?

Well, there's the first post of this thread. And maybe there should be a written warning that the information posted on the first two pages isn't accurate.

Why does The Girl Who Slept Too Little sound bad to everyone? I like the idea.
How about "Dark Killmore"? O.oGABF17 - Treehouse of Horror XVI - Written by Marc Wilmore (scary name TBA)
"There's a couple of things they don't teach you in Harvard Business School. One is how to cope with defeat; the other is how to handle a shotgun. I'm going to do both right now."

I think The Girl Who Slept Too Little would've made a great season finale, just looking at the episode description, but I'm sure it'll make a great season opener too.
If any of these episodes are real, they sound like rehashes from older episodes.
