A very good episode, a little flat in the middle portion, but it picked up toward the end. A very inspirational episode, and Magic Johnson's cameo, while short, was handled well. Overall it's a 4/5.
Bart: "Please don't call our parents!"
Chief: "I'm afraid I have to for hijinks like these. Hijinks - it's a funny word. Three dotted letters in a row."
    Eddie: "Is it hyphenated?"
Chief: "It used to be, back in the good old days, you know. Of course, every generation hyphenates the way it wants to. Then there's *NSYNC! What the hell is that? Jump in any time there, Eddie, these are good topics."

Classic, classic, classic. This is top 10 material, and full of hilarious stuff, with an excellent and very logical plot. I can see this repeatedly and still love it. Did I mention that it was a classic? A++.

The conversations between Mr Burns and Kent Brockman were pure gold.

    5/5, flawless.

This is one of the first ones I remember seeing when I was little. The dictionary definitions and Magic Johnson pulling a Homer were what stuck with me.
    I was saying "Boo-urns."

    Couldn't agree more!! Very under-rated classic 5/5

I voted 4/5, but I'd probably give it a 4.5/5 or so. Season 3 does have better episodes though(Saturdays of Thunder, Seperate Vocations, Flaming Moes, Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwerk, Lisa The Greek, Lisa's Pony, Bart The Murderer, you get the idea)

a good episode, but nothing extraordinary for me.
The story is maybe a little bit thin, some good jokes though.
The joke with the dictionary and Homer is funny and the most memorable

aside from the ending, there wasn't anything to spectacular after the "cliffhanger" first act break. still an OK episode, 4/5

This is a pretty great episode that usually doesn't get a lot of mention. I really like the meltdown scenes, and the Jon Lovitz character (I forget his full name, Aristotle something) was interesting, too. Not quite spectacular enough to get the top score, nonetheless a very strong 14/15

Solid episode. Not quite up to the best the season had to offer, but certainly awesome on its own merits. I liked the running gag of the dictionary.

The ending constantly holds a saddening shadow of failure over this episode. Act 1 is a reasonable set up for the episode, but the aftermarth jokes at the beginning of act 2, like the guy coming out of the closet with the woman, and him saying they'll hook up again during the next disaster, just seemed tacky. Furthermore the use of the dictionary poorly held the episode together in my opinion.

All in all, it wasn't a bad episode, but I am heavily critical of it so I'll give it a 2.5/5

    A decent episode, B
