Trust Butters to find something else to criticize in one of my posts and go completely off-topic.

I didn't recognize it at all...coverart IMO looks better than the comic.

Surprised they stole the cover art. I mean all they have done have added some slight lighting and replaced the comic with the book. What a rip-off, poor comics.

Yeah, now I feel kind of guilty for thinking the cover was great, when all they did was touch up a previously used drawing.

"There's a couple of things they don't teach you in Harvard Business School. One is how to cope with defeat; the other is how to handle a shotgun. I'm going to do both right now."

probably intended for both, barts shirt is orange on them both

anyways bill morrison is involved with the illustrations in some way in all the guide books, so it's hardly a surpris ethat they are used.
If I start making sense, I'm not making sense.

It actually makes more sense now why everyone is laughing - the guide books aren't exactly supposed to be funny, are they? Not that the comics are anymore, either.

Well, they have quotes and scenes from the show and they're damn funny even when in print!

Don't know if this has been posted before but amazon.co.uk says the guide will come out on 3rd October in the UK and will have 128 pages.

HOO-RAY! i've been waiting for this one for a long time

I hope they do a good analysis of 'Pray anything'. I notice they haven't done a character bio for Helen Lovejoy yet. Maybe they'll have one in this book...

Has Helen even has an important role and/or spoken in a season 13 or 14 episode, though? If not, then she won't have a character bio.

The third book in the series had the same amount of pages, except there were only 21 episodes in season 12. That means we'll likely get two pages less of anything else in this book. This book had better have more framegrabs. Some of those two-page episodes from the first book had five grabs, and some in the third book only had one!

Remember there were quadruple spreads for THOHs in Beyond Forever.

Also, I'm sure Helen spoke in Pray Anything at least, and she seems the most likely option for that spread.

I wonder what name will have the fifth book... "Two Steps Beyond Forever"...? That'd be too obvious.

"More Steps Beyond Forever"? "More than One Step Beyond Forever"? Something lame and cheesy probably...

Oh yeah, I was going to mention that Treehouse of Horrors took up four pages, but somehow I forgot and didn't.

Bearer of bad news, here: Went ahead and looked to see if anything changed regarding the Complete Guide, considering I updated the DVD news in the board FAQ, and it looks like they pushed it back to Halloween (from Oct. 1) in the U.S. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...books&n=507846

Amazon.co.uk still says the UK release date will be 3rd October, so that's good news for UK fans.
I remember the 3rd guide coming out in Nov 2002, but I don't know if it was before/after the US release.

The UK date is sure to be pushed back, likely early November. This sucks...

Uh, try any Coles, Chapters or Indigo in the 'humour' section.

And if you can't find one, just go into any mall in Toronto and throw a stone.

According to a thread I can't find in the Android's Dungeon Archives, when the US date was pushed back, the UK date was too a few days later, so probably now I come to think of it.

I have the first two and I'm not going to buy anymore until they're all out and hopefully they'll make some sort of complete edition or box which costs less than buying the one's I don't have which probably isn't likely anyways

There was a collection called 'The ultimate Simpsons in a big ol' box', which has the first three guides in it, but I don't think that'll interest you since you own the first two.

Thanks to CousinMerl for this great sig!

They haven't done a character bio for Cat lady, but that will probably be in the season 15-16 book because she stars in season 16 about 40 times, including, Treehouse of Horror XV,Homer & Ned's Hail Mary Pass,Future-Drama.
