    "Pranksta Rap" (GABF03) Preview/Spectulation thread.

    From SNPP;

50 Cent guest voices as himself as Bart fakes his own kidnapping (and ends up hiding out with Milhouse's father) to hide the fact that he snuck out of the house to go to a 50 Cent concert

Should turn out just about OK if they keep the appearance of 50 Cent to a minimum.

Transcript tommorow, I'm tired and I assume most of you saw it anyways.

    Edit: Transcript...

Announcer: In one week, it’s the FOX Valentine’s spectacular! (A scene of Homer stuck in the doggie door part of OFF’s back door is shown.)
Homer: Why must I be so voluptuous? (Cut to Bart’s room, where Bart, in an orange hoodie, hops out of his window. Cut to Bart at the concert, where the rapper onstage drops his microphone, which rolls into Bart’s arms.)
Announcer: Bart discovers his true love: gangsta rap! (Cut to a scene of Lisa, Skinner and a gathering of thuggish types in a shoe store, watching Bart on a monitor, rapping onstage at the concert.)
Bart: Homer is a fat-load. (Homer is seen stepping back as the monitor crashes down, causing all of the gangsters to pull out guns, aiming at him.)
    Announcer: The Simpsons!

Didn't like the sound of the synopsis, and the promotional advert as shown above doesn't do anything to incite any positive speculation from yours truly. Hey, it might actually be good.

The quality of the episode will be inversely (I think thats right) relative to the amount of time 50 Cent is shown.

The less 50 Cent, the better; (And since they show deleted scenes, maybe one of the concert momets won't occur.) Besides that, I think it will at least be good; It's a Matt Selman episode with a down-to-earth story; The Kirk Van Houten element also looks interesting. My prediction: B+

Finally a Bart episode ,how long has it been? I'm definitely looking forward to this.

Sounds good, but the pictures of the promo just worry me. Homer having multiple automatic pistols aimed at him can't be good...

I think once the first act has finished, the episode should be quite good, with Wiggum cracking the case and then being promoted.

I've posted my thoughts in the Season 16 thread (and got alot of flaming for it... > ). I don't expect much of the epsiode, but I'm just gonna wait and see. I've been trying to distance myself from knowing too much of the plot of episodes, I think it might be ruinging episodes for me (even though they've been very predictable this Season anyway).

    It's good that it's a Bart episode, it's bad that it's also a 50 Cent episode...

December- Fat man and Little Boy, there's only been 3 in between and only 1 of them features Marge fairly heavily.

I didn't see the promo, but these pics make me think of a revival of "Do the Bartman". :headbang

Think people are overracting a little bit to these pics. One positive which is present just from seeing this is it looks as though we could see some vintage bad Boy Bart here, like his classic sneaking out the house trait.

I think this could be a really good episode and the Selman credit is promising, although the gun pics suggest to me that there could be a 3rd act decline.

Not really ,Fat Man and Little Boy is more of a Bart and Homer episode. What i'm talking about is 100% Bart centric episode.

No episode is 100% centred on one character so prepare for dissapointment.

I'm not really looking forward to 50 Cents appearence, but the plot for the episode sounds good. Also, its written by Matt Selman who is a great writer. I'm predicting a B+.

It looks pretty bad to me. But not worse than last night's failure.

As long as it's not similar to "New Kids on the Blecch", and 50 Cent is given as little airtime as possible, it could be very good.

    A tribute to Bart Simpson

You think THAT's bad? What about that time when I was turned into a Tetris block?

  24. #24

It looks pretty good, although I hate to see Bart dressed like a chave with the hoody and all that, man I hope it wont lead to all the Springfield kids talking street.

Most likely Homer will take centre stage by the end of the episode, as he usually does, I honestly think Bart is funnier with the one liners then when the episode is about him, but we'll see.

Meh, I got bad thoughts about this. The guest stars blended in nicely to last night's episode, but the episode was rather plain and on the wild side. Hopefully, this one won't be the same. Nice frame work by Vox!

I'm not going to waste my time worrying about a 21-minute TV show. I think the story of Bart faking a kidnapping sounds good.

Am I the only one who's wondering why we haven't heard that Chapelle was appearing until today?
