    R&R: Rosebud..Most absurd Episode ever?

This is one of my "top 10" LOL funny simpsons episodes.
Some of my favorite moments include Mr. Burns' flashback, the Ramones birthday song, Smithers dressing up as a bear and Burns taking over the T.V stations. Also, Maggie fighting with Burns over "bobo" was so funny.

    Overall, 5/5.

Burns: Have The Rolling Stones Killed
    Smithers: But Sir, th-
    Burns: Do As I Say!!

One of my favorite Smithers-Burns exchanges. This episode has some of my favorite moments:

-The SWAT team that comes out and beats the crowd
-The bear somehow travelling from Berlin to the North Pole
-The repetitive "2+2 is 4" is IMHO one of the greatest moments in the history of the show
    -And countless others....

I think it's a bit overrated, but I still highly enjoy it.

Hmmm... this episode was hysterically funny at times (I loved "2+2=4"), but was also pretty absurd at times (the "Wizard of Oz" opening and "Planet of the Apes" ending didn't seem to fit in well with the "Citizen Kane" plot). So I'm not sure whether to rank it 2/5 or 5/5. I'll have to go with option #6, as all 3 are pretty absurd episodes with Homer being the primary source of humour.
Bart: "Please don't call our parents!"
Chief: "I'm afraid I have to for hijinks like these. Hijinks - it's a funny word. Three dotted letters in a row."
    Eddie: "Is it hyphenated?"
Chief: "It used to be, back in the good old days, you know. Of course, every generation hyphenates the way it wants to. Then there's *NSYNC! What the hell is that? Jump in any time there, Eddie, these are good topics."

This is one of the best episodes ever, it's a perfect example of the crazy off the wall episodes. All of the parodies are create, and that sequence of Homer eating the cheese is one of the most memorable in the series.

    You mean Citizen Kane?

I'll give it 4/5. There are some great laughs but it's not a personal favourite of mine.

5 out of fucking 5! My favourite episode, the jokes are just so hilariously stupid and quick. If only they made more episodes like this.

The 3/5 thing was a joke saying the ending bit upped it (see poll) Then I wrote "Seriously" good episode, funny though perhaps a little overrated A/A-

    So yes I know A/A- is 4.5/5

    The BEST EPISODE EVER.
Fantastic jokes, great story, good emotion from Burns, everything in this episode was absolutely smashing. I enjoyed it even more on DVD, with the cut stuff put back in. ("No! My box!," "No. Bear want to live.")

Funniest episode ever? No, but incredibly good. Filled to the brim with humor, parody, plot, and excellent character moments particularly from Burns. Unfortunately, it's worn from repeat viewings for me.

It's an outstanding episode, but I have to write a pretty sketchy review of it, as I haven't seen it...well, for a long while.

The first act is outstanding, from memory, going back into Burns' past and wringing out a few zingers in the process. I cannot remember exactly when the 'Bobo flashback segment occured', but it was hilarious. If you parody certain events within the history of the world, this is how to do it. It's also poignant. Homer's 'Sheriff Lobo' line was a classic.

In the second act, involving the party, I remember Burns being at his malevolent best, although I felt some of the humour, while being funny initially, was too repetitive. The Ramones were good. They didn't spout out inane drivel like some later celebrities, instead, they got the job done. Typical Ramones behaviour.

The third act was entertaining, as Burns' attempts to get Bobo back were novel and hilarious. Homer's attitude also made up for his stupidity during act two and Marge's use of meta-humour in attempting to blackmail Burns was effective, as was the paparazzi thing at the end. However, I did feel that the 'future' ending was somewhat pointless.

The characterisations were...OK, from memory, except for Homer in parts.

I need to watch this episode again, so as to provide a more detailed review. Until I do, consider this review to be temporary - but not my opinion of this episode. A

Yea..I really miss when celebrities actually had decent lines. Now they get people with TERRIBLE voice acting and lines.

The future ending was ok. I think they said there was actually more to it in the commentary.. Maybe that would have helped it had it not been cut.

Definitely one of the best ever.
