In Raging (etc, etc) Hellfish, who's the girl who thinks that Mr Burns is Santa Claus? I always simply assumed it was just someone who lived next door, but the SNPP capsule says it's either Lisa or Maggie, neither of which sound right.

It sounds like Lisa to me, and isn't Lisa's room almost always next to Barts (aside from when moved for a joke)?

Yeah I used to watch PS. Along with every other show on tv. Matter of fact I still do...
Moe: What are you telling us, were trapped like rats?
Russ Cargill: No, rats can't be trapped this easily, you're trapped like... carrots.
That girl is definitely Lisa. I've always assumed that, since Maggie doesn't talk. About her bedroom, is Bart's room supposed to be somewhere else in The Girl Who Slept Too Little? He said Lisa's room is the only one that has a view of the graveyard but they should be net to each other. But then in Special Edna, his window has a view of the front yard. Uh, whatever. I guess it's a cartoon and it doesn't matter.
"There's a couple of things they don't teach you in Harvard Business School. One is how to cope with defeat; the other is how to handle a shotgun. I'm going to do both right now."

They constantly change the layout of the house to fit in jokes.

How old do you think Bart and Milhouse are in Stop the world I want to goof off? When they finally repair the watch?
This is a really vague question and I have a feeling I may have dreamed this episode so hazy is my memory. Anyway what is the episode where Homer is building something, and Lindsey Neagle and I think Cookie Kwan and a couple of others come along and are really attracted to him? I don't even know if I've remembered it right, I think I've only seen it once before.
^Large Marge
They were 10 when they broke the watch, then they spent 15 years trying to repair it, so 25.Originally Posted by Miss Springfield

Does marge or lisa have a middle name?
Lisa's is Marie, according to the invitation in Lisa's Wedding.
I really thought that there was this Simpsons refrence in Futurama, but I can't find it anywhere. I thought I remembered them saying that the Simpsons is still on, but it's been going downhill since season 100, or something like that. Did that actually happen or did I dream it?
I dont remember any simpsons reference of that type
Actually, she mentions both. Perfect Strangers is from "Barting Over" but "Talk to the hand" and "do shut up" are from "Missionary Impossible"Originally Posted by HellKat666

About a hero named Homer and a devil named Burns
We'll march 'till we drop the girls and the fellas
We'll fight 'till the death or else fold like umbrellas
...
So we'll march day and night by the big cooling tower
They have the plant but we have the power
From 'Last Exit to Springfield' my favourite ep. Is what Lisa's singing a reference to something? Or was it written by the writers of the show?
I Dont Think They were referring to anything but The dance looked alot like the dance from When The Grinch Stole Christmas

I have a feeling that there is something like that in the first crossover comic, but I need to check to be sure.Originally Posted by Adzzzzzzzzzz

matt groening has mentioned in at least one interview that in the futurama universe, the simpsons is still on the air with the voice actors' heads in jars. and i'm sure he probably made the "going downhill" crack as part of it
Man this has been annoying me for, like, 3 days. What episode is Homer talking to Lisa about someone, Homer says "Look, I don't know who _____ is", and Lisa says something, and Homer says "I was just putting words together." Someone tell me before I punch my computer trying to think of what episode its from.
I think it's "Frank Lloyd Wright" and the episode is...I wanna say...Old Yeller Belly?
I think it is Old Yeller Belly, yes.
Anyway, I have a question. On TV viewings and on my Season 6 DVD, in The Springfield Connection, in the scene after Homer's been in jail, where he's in the bedroom with Marge, before he chalks on the carpet, the screen very quickly dims, turns black, and then back to normal. Does this happen on everybody else's viewings or on their DVD? Is this a glitch in transmission or what? Does anybody even know what I'm on about?

Well, it turns black because Moleman gets electrified in the electric chair.
I'm one sad ape-like dude.
This one's bothered me for years:
Way back in 'Blood Feud', homer is eating breakfast after Marge saves him "from making a big mistake." Then homer says (with food in his mouth) "I finally understand the meaning of ____ _____." Marge replies "what did you just say?" And homer quickly answers "Better half, marge, better half."
What did homer really say?
The way homer responds makes it seem like he was covering up words that may have been too vulgar to say on TV (why else muffle the words?) I thought it was maybe a sort of crude joke or innuendo. But if he really did say "better half" then I simply don't get it, what does that mean?
First, it's just supposed to be funny that he starts a sentence which becomes inaudible in the end. Also, by his bad table manners he unknowingly stresses the fact that Marge is indeed the 'better half' of the marriage![]()
Was the Eye on Springfield opening video used on any other episode besides Flaming Moe's?
It was used in My Sister, My Sitter I believe. I think there may have been another usage of it later on but I can't remember.
