Her father cutting her off is meant to be a joke, because he asks her to explain what she was doing, but then won't let her, just as she begins to explain. he puts her in an all girl's school, so she won't get another boyfriend, like Milhouse.Originally Posted by Maxxmuscle

She didn't want Marge to know they had gone to counselling, or she didn't want the topic of the affair to be brought up again. All though i cant quite remember how Homer drove his car off a pier, i assume he was driving wrecklessly, hence why Judge Harm would revoke his license
It was just some sort of seaside creature, something like a crab. i doubt the show's creators particularly knew when they drew it...Originally Posted by Veryjammy
I think Homer drove into the water because he had so much junk in his car and he was paying attention to what he had instead of driving.

What was Marge talking about in "HOMR" when she said, "It seems like animated shows are everywhere these days...or were, a year ago."

Probably referring to the glut of short-lived animated shows that were on the air in network primetime in 1999/2000... lessee... God, the Devil and Bob... Stressed Eric... The PJs... Dilbert... Baby Blues... Home Movies... Mission Hill... The Oblongs...

A couple of questions:
How many times has the New Mexico joke been used? ("There's a NEW Mexico?")
Which was the episode where OOF went to France? (NOT Crepes of Wrath)
One of the few who still enjoys new episodes of The Simpsons.

In "Little Big Mom", just before the ghost of Lucy appears, Lisa puts her matrass against the door to block out the noise from downstairs. She also mutters during that time. I can identify "Stupid" right at the beginning, and also the last bit of "Jerk, I can't believe it", but I can't identify anything else. Can someone please help?
i will look now... inconsiderat bunch of jerks

Ah..."stupid inconsiderate bunch of jerks, I can't believe it". That makes sense. Thanks a bunch.
Also, to answer another question...what Milhouse stroked in "Summer of 4ft 2" was, in fact, a Horseshoe Crab. Not a real crab at all, this 'living fossil' is more closely related to spiders.

In Bart gets Famous when Bart was showing his friends that he works for
Krusty why did Nelson punch him and tell him thats for taking credit for other
peoples work and then he and his friends walked out of his house?
In Itchy Scratchy and Poochie when the poeple did not like Homers new
character Poochie and started to leave the house why did Nelson punch
Bart in the arm? Also when Homer was trying to tell Bart, Lisa and Marge
about the cartoon why did they all go upstairs to bed without having dinner?
In Brother from Another Series what was the joke about Wiggum saying that
Lou said Bob resisted arrest when he explained to Wiggum that he caught
Cecil?
People that was all wrong Homer Simpson doesn't say
Boh! he says [Checks Script] Doh! Mr. Burns, Burns
Heir.
1) cus' while barts pointing to the tv where it shows his name the other kids say its not him
2) thay walked out as soon as i&s finished nelson is a bully so he'll hit for any excus, lisa and bart to upstairs without dinner cus thay dont' want to talk about poochi
3) can't remember but ithink wiggum said that bob resisted aresset just to aresst him(even tho he saved lisa and bart) and lou said that it was celil

What episode is this Wiggum quote from?:
"Suspect is driving a...car...of some sort."

Homer's Triple Bypass, during the "Cops in Springfield" scene.
Full quote: "This is Papa Bear. Put out an APB for a male suspect, driving a... car... of some sort, heading in the direction of... you know, that place that sells chili. Suspect is hatless. Repeat, hatless."
In The Twisted World of Marge Simpson when Homer and Marge open the door expecting Fat Tony, but find Grampa, he says "I had that dream again!". Are we suppose to know what his dream was, as if there is a common recurring dream among old people? Or is this a reference to something?
I've got a question of my own (sorry st3vo, don't know that one)
Does anyone know when the acronym "OFF" originated? Looking at the snpp archives, people were using it back around the 5th and 6th seasons! I assume it was around a bit before that. Also, where did it come from and who coined it? Random internet guy, or someone on the staff?

It was also in Separate Vocations, when Eddie said it. "We are in pursuit of a speeding individual, driving a red...car."Originally Posted by Central Scrutinizer

Too bad he said that it was being used in the 5th Season and the Complete Guide didn't come out until season 9 at the earliest.
I got a chance to read your post before it disappeared. Thanks Jimbo.Originally Posted by Sloppy Jimbo XII

This is probably a dumb question but I've always wondered, in Lisa's First Word after the part where Abe decides to buy Homer the house and Bart asks how long before they sent grampa to the old folks home and Homer says "about three weeks," well after he says that they all laugh, the weird thing is I hear Grampa laughing in the mix of their laughing but Grampa isn't in the scene. I've seen this episode like 20-30 times because of my nephew and everytime I see that part I always wonder why Grampas laugh is heard.
How Many Episodes have there Been of OFF on TV 355/356/357 ?

theres one where the simpsons act as king of the hill the beggining its the one where they go on the reality tv show

Nowhere Man, I have never heard it, and i doubt that if you can hear grampa's laugh it was intentional. so...either you're hearing things, or it was an unintentional mistake by the production crew. you were probably hearing marge or someone...
There have been 356 episodes that have aired on US Television

Does anybody know the longest episode of the simpsons

no, but i can tell you the shortest is There's No Disgace like Home from season 1. there are no feature-length episodes that are longer than about 22 minutes without commercials. however, there has been one two-parter, Who Shot Mr. Burns?
