Also, in Pranksta Rap, Kirk has an eye-patch all throught the episode. Is that from his last apearence? How did he get it?

  4. #874

Presumably from his job as a scare-crow.

Just like the Simpsons kitchen in "Oven War", or Homer not having a job in a bunch of episodes that I can't be bothered to list.

Is the Armor Hotdogs song an actual song? What about 'I Feel Like Chicken Tonight'?

I know the 'Chicken Tonight' one is, and I'm pretty sure the Armor hotdogs one is, although I haven't heard it before.

The Chicken Tonight jingle was from the early 90s, while the Armour Hot Dogs jingle was from the 1960s (with a few comebacks since then).

What's the music in the Land of Chocolate? Was it specifically composed for The Simpsons or is something real? Sorry for all these questions about the Simpsons. I've always had these questions but I never knew where to ask.

    Missing Song Title?!

In Episode 'EABF18 My Mother the Carjacker 11/09/2003', Kent Brockman shows a "video montage" of the 1960's, including the moon landing, Richard Nixon's salute, "You bet your bippy", etc...

There's a song playing in the background right when they show vietnam soldiers. Any clue of it's name? Please help!

    PS. Apologize for double-posting.

It's Jimi Hendrix's version of "All Along The Watchtower," from his 1968 album Electric Ladyland.

So Armour actually says fat kids, skinny kids, kids who climb on rocks, tough kids, ____ kids, even kids with chicken pox.... Is this the actual lyrics and can you tell me what the blank is?

In There's Something About Marrying, the chef on the TV show is some sort of intellectual who has just written a book about "Churchill's life between the wars". Is this a reference to a real TV chef who is also an author?
You know what I blame this on the breakdown of? Society.

    I'm pretty sure it's "sissy".

A friend said that there was an episode where Bart got a girlfriend and Lisa got a boyfriend, both from Shelbyville. I felt he was making it up, but I just want to confirm. Did this ever happen?

    No, it didn't.

A few questions about episodes set in the future. Lisa's Wedding is supposed to be set in 2010, if I'm not mistaken (15 years after the airdate) which would make Bart 25 but Bart To The Future is set in 2030 (30 years after the airdate) when Bart is 40. From this I can assume that Future Drama is set in 2013 when Bart is 18. Does it mention in the episodes how old the characters actually are? My reason for asking this is Bart in Bart To The Future seems much younger than the Bart in Lisa's Wedding whereas Lisa's character (and most of the others) is the other way round.

"Lisa's Wedding" is explicitly set in 2010 (printed on the invitations). "Bart to the Future" is stated by the casino manager to be set 30 years in the future, but no year is given. Presumably the year is 2029 (because presidential inaugurations take place in a year following an election, which in the US is always a year evenly divisible by 4). So the episode is either in 2029 or 2030, and either the Indian was rounding 29 years off to 30 or the US presidential election schedule has changed.
From this I can assume that Future Drama is set in 2013 when Bart is 18.
    A reasonable assumption.

    Not in "LW" or "BTTF."

He probably seems younger to you because his voice in "Lisa's Wedding" is subtly deeper, and he has Homer's stubble, whereas in "Bart to the Future" he has no stubble and his voice is basically the same as when he was 10.

Plus the fact that that in the first future episode he's been married several times and and has a job whereas in the second he's a sort of lazy student moocher. I know it's all irrelevant as the future visions should not be considered as true but I was just interested to find out why Bart is seemingly ageing backwards.

THOH's aren't supposed to exist in the actual timeline so why are THOH clips shown in Another Simpsons Clipshow?
