s20. pretty sure lisa the drama queen was the first episode with 4 acts
edit. it was.
I've heard by the end of Season 25 there will be a total of 559 episodes so if Season 23 has 21 episodes, that takes it up to 507 episodes. Are Jean and co really going to do 52 episodes, and an average of 26 episodes per season for Seasons 24 and 25?
virtually every news article after the contract renewal http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/20...-more-seasons/

What celebrity was the first to act as themselves in an episode? (I could probably find out but meh...)

I do. More than fucking crazy cat lady and Old Gill ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!
Are any of the TV executives besides Lindsay Naigle known by name?
You are hearing me talk.

i don't think so. iirc in the guide for seasons 11 and 12 they were just referred to as TV Executive 1, 2, etc.
One recurring joke I never understood was the idea of dead celebrities doing endorsements, that started around "The Last Temptation of Krust". Yes, even an entire Treehouse of Horror segment was built around this, but I don't get it.
I can understand using songs sung by people no longer with us, but not actual physical endorsements.
500 episodes, about 200 good ones.

The episode "Whacking Day'' curiously aired the same day as Seinfeld's "The Contest'', which deals with a different kind of whacking.
Hey, needing a little help finding this certain event that happened in a Simpsons episode. If you guys can help, I'll love you forever.
I don't remember what season it was, what happened in the episode or what they were talking about in the scene but basically (I think), Marge wants Homer to do something but he wants to go down to Moe's. He ends up thinking in his head (somewhere along these lines) 'Sure Marge, I'll go do it just now' but ends up saying 'But actually, I'm going to Moe's hehehehe' aloud. In a nutshell, he says what he should be thinking in his head and what he should be speaking he says in his head!
I remember it being one of my favourite clips ever but I just can't find it. I know it's not a lot to go on. :P
