    Question episode 22 season 10

    Hi,
Could anyone please explain to me the "joke" in episode 22 of season 10: "They Saved Lisa's Brain" when Comic Book Guy shows a black t-shirt with
    "C:/DOS
    C:/DOS/RUN
    RUN/DOS/RUN"
    written on it !
    Thanks,
    MissMaggieSimpson

It's a computer joke. DOS is basically a utility on Windows where you type commands for the computer to do, RUN being one of them. It's supposed to be a parody of a children's book, as in "See Dos, see dos run, run dos run"

It's an old joke. Before the Windows operating system came along, there was a command line OS called DOS, or Disk Operating System. On it, you got a Command Prompt, often "C:/", on which you'd write commands like "del", "copy", etc.. Many of the commands were to "run" various programs.

Add to the joke the old Dick and Jane series of children's books, which included classic lines like "See Spot. See Spot run. Run, Spot, run." That particular line is made much fun of these days, but hey, I learned to read with those old books.

It's a joke that alludes to both the old computer operating system and the old series of books. (these are jokes meant for us old fuckers. They always shoot straight over your heads.)

Another great Simpsons DOS joke features Snake, (and none of you damn kids will understand this one either) http://www.clayloomis.com/Sounds/simp257b.wav

Season 6, PTA disbands: when barts outside at nightime flying a kite and he turns to marge and says : "hello mother dear". Is that a reference to something I could never figure it out

you asked the exact same question a year ago

    It's obviously just a loosely based Psycho/Norman Bates/creepy mother-son relationship reference.

Which episode has (I believe) Reverend Lovejoy somewhat apathetically consoling a character? He pats them on the back while dryly saying "There, there. There, there."

I recently watched "The Simpsons Movie" and when Homer was dancing with the pig in his dream "Happy Together" was heard playing. I know it was also in "Trilogy of Error" My question is has it been in any other episodes because I'm pretty sure it has

I think it has been in a ton of episodes. Pretty sure it was in "The Way We Weren't"

In which episode does homer "thought bubble" the equation (with images) "beer + car = grave" and then thinks something like "Wait a second, did I combine that correctly?" and then the equation becomes "beer + car = Homer as president"?

On the 'Bart After Dark' commentary, Josh Weinstein says they cut an pretty famous actor from that season as a guest star, and replaced it with one of the Simpsons regular voice actors. What actor was it and what episode is he talking about?

It could possibly have been William H Macy as Frank Grimes in Homer's Enemy, they ended up going with Hank for the voice.

What episode was it where Homer is trying to get away from the police and then happens to crash his car into the police station? I'm thinking it's My Mother the Carjacker but not entirely sure.

i thought of two random moments but the episodes' their in are lost on me:

one was bart, lisa, maggie and marge sitting in what I believe was a hospital room, Bart finds a book and plays with it, saying "Daddy's burning(?) daddy's not burning (or something) and marge takes the book away, making maggie upset. she then plays along. what episode was this, and what was the actual line?

and i remembered a scene where Homer puts up a mas of various places around springfield for the viewer to see, and IRCC he breaks the fourth wall and says something like "Have you read them all? Good." What episode was this?

    thanks in advance
