Natural Born Kissers!! When Marge and Homer get back from their little trip and Bart and Lisa are quizzing where they went. This was obviously to satirize canned laughter in sitcoms! Especially when it's not needed! Funnily enough, if this gag happened today there would be an uproar!

I've always had trouble understanding "gay" jokes. I'm watching Homer's Phobia right now, ad there's a joke I think is a gay joke, but I'm not sure. It's when there's two boxes of candy, and Bart is deciding which one from which to take a piece. He ends up taking one that looks sort of like a breast; a least I think that's what it's supposed to look like. And when he takes it, Homer gasps like he did something gay. But what's gay about a piece of candy that looks like a breast? If somebody knows the scene, maybe they can explain it to me...

I don't really remember the scene, but maybe it's more feminine of him to take a breast-shaped candy?

I don't remember the scene either, but looking up on the internet...it mentions cactus candy was in that scene.
A cactus would look less like a breast and more like a penis...so is that the scene you're referring to?
it's pink, fluffy, effeminate and therefore - in homer's eyes - gay. i never even thought about it being "breast shaped". does it really look like that much like a breast? really?

I don't know; it was all I could think of.
But thanks, I get it now.
I forgot all about that joke but it seems like it could be interpreted both ways. If Bart chooses the pink over black he's gay, OR if Bart chooses the penis shape over boob shape he's gay. Surprisingly ambiguous, although whichever Bart chooses that upsets Homer is clearly what they were going for. I'm not that much of a fan of Homer's Phobia though anyway...
But those other cakes look round to me, not penis-shaped.

Going solely off that picture they appear more long than circular to me, maybe they're better established in the episode itself I haven't watched it in awhile. But I think it is largely up to interpretation of course...perhaps I'm merely overthinking it.
Quick question: which episode is this from (it has been used a few times in various threads):
![]()
Bart the Fink, I believe.
Yep, Bart the Fink. It's during the auction of Krusty's stuff (Moe just bought his bed).

Has the band Rush ever made an appearance on the show? If so, which episode?

I'm aware of a few examples but could someone state any episodes that a main character doesn't appear in or has maybe one or two lines?
I don't think Homer is featured in This Little Wiggy that much. Two, maybe three lines?
Anyway, does anyone know which episode has Homer leaving the kitchen, but repeatedly turning his head and going "Hmph!" at his family?
Here's a good thread for an answer

I'm trying to remember a Marge Simpson quote but I can't remember which episode it is in. She is reading newspaper headlines that say tragic things, and she gasps in shock, but then it shows the rest of the headline and it turns out to be completely innocent. After a few of these she comments that she should remember to read the entire headline before reacting.
Anybody know which episode this is in?
Sounds like It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad Marge from season 11, but I'm not 100% sure
That's the one! Thanks alot!
Is this from an actual episode or is it just something made up?
hahaha
Thanks Raspberry
