I don't know why the moderators don't just put a poll in themselves instead of closing down the thread......unless it's impossible to actually create a poll once a poll-less thread has been created.

Anyway, review: This episode is quite an hilarious episode, despite the fact that it's basically a bunch of wacky adventures, except perhaps some subtle mickey-taking of the Mafia. It's still very funny and interesting to watch. Homer's final comment was great. Best part of the episode was the horse race over the radio, with cartoon catchphrases as horse names.

5/5. One of my few A+s of Season 3. I like how Season 3 began giving Hank Azaria bigger roles, so I love how much of the spotlight Wiggum got in this episode. Fat Tony, obviously, was what made the episode classic material and Bart was a lot funnier than usual here. The dark atmosphere and superb animation, coupled with great humor, music, and suspense, makes this a classic episode. And 'What did I do to deserve such a flat, tasteless Manhattan?' is one of the only lines of the series that I laugh out loud at every time.

Such a great episode. Funny from minute one, with a surfeit of great (and hilarious) character moments and a plot that progresses nicely. The humor was great and I agree with the above poster, Wiggum and Fat Tony stole the show.

    Some highlights:

    - Homer: A job's a job. I mean, take me for example. If my plant pollutes the water and poisons the town, by your logic, that would make me a criminal.

    - Wiggum: Fat Tony is a cancer on this great city. He is the cancer, and I am the, um...hey, what cures cancer?

    - Bart singing Sinatra (the "Witchcraft" song) was a great subtle touch I never realized until my dad (who's a big Sinatra fan) mentioned it.

    - "I heard Skinner's buried under his parking spot" was another nice, more subtle touch.

    - "I am still a weiner" = nice callback to "Bart the Genius"

    - Skinner: I'm Principal Skinner, yes. And how, may I ask, did you get past the hall monitors?

    - Lionel Hutz: I'll be defending you on the charge of... [reads the deposition] Murder One! Wow! Even if I lose, I'll be famous!

    - Lionel Hutz: Mr. Simpson, you've been the boy's father for ten years. Do you really think he could be the leader of a murderous criminal syndicate?
Homer: Well, not the leader, I mean... [looks over at Bart] [cries] Oh, it's true, it's true! All the pieces fit!

Another fine episode from a fine season. A

Good, solid episode with quite a few great jokes and a very unique, memorable tone. However, it lacks the wow factor that would have made it perfect. 4.5/5

My second favourite episode of all time. The Skinner part of the story is terrible for continuity but adds to the half-serious tone of the episode. The line from Lionel Hutz in jail is hilarious. The addition of a character like Fat Tony is what makes it really great. I didn't get the Doogie Howser reference when I first saw it but now it seems funnier than ever.

Good episode. Really enjoyed it and funny to see Bart thinks he killed Skinner. 5/5
