"Trust in yourself & you can achieve anything" - Lisa Simpson
Favourite Season - Season 4
Bart Has Two Mommies - 7/10 Every post-classic season needs its good episode(s), and this is it for Season 17. When I first heard the plot summary in the TV guide - 'Bart gets kidnapped by a monkey', I wasn't very optimistic. Yet this episode is suprisingly decent. The slightly wacky ending doesn't bother me, I found the main story interesting and original, and I found myself smiling/laughing a fair bit. Not an excellent episode, but clearly the best from an otherwise very average season.
Poochie needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine
The Great Louse Detective - 3.5/5
Special Edna - 3/5
The Great Wife Hope - 3.5/5
The Otto Show : B+ 16/20
Lisa the Iconoclast - 9/10 Deliberating between a 9 and a 9.25. A very good episode, with great characterisation and a cracking ending.
Homer Simpson, This is Your Wife - 4.75/10 I normally like Ricky Gervais, but I found his character pretty annoying in this (like Sacha Baron Cohen in 'TGSED'). There were some pretty lame jokes, and all in all, it just felt like some pseudo-marriage crisis episode (I say pseudo, as there wasn't really a crisis).
THOH XVII - 3/5
Jimbo Jones: [about Homer] I hear that guy's ass has it's own congressman!
Bart Simpson: I wash myself with a rag on a stick.
Homer Simpson: [takes cap out of dryer and puts it on his head] Mmmmm... I CAN feel three types of softness.
Lisa Simpson: [from upstairs] Dad, what are you doing down there?
Homer Simpson: Washing my fat guy's hat honey!
Rednecks and Broomsticks - 3.5/5

Million Dollar Abie - 4.25/10 This episode was just a mess. We go from Springfield getting a sports stadium, to Grampa being hated by the town and then attempted suicide (yikes), then him becoming a matador but quitting when Lisa doesn't like it. They tried to cram too much into the episode, so none of the conflict felt realistic. Also, as I hinted, they really should not have characters attempting suicide in an episode. The premise has yet to work effectively, and I doubt it ever will. Oh, and save for maybe a few moments, the episode to top it all off, wasn't very funny.

Kiss Kiss, Bang Bangalore - 5/10 It is hard to grade this episode. On the one hand, it was just another travel episode essentially, and Homer thinking he was a god, was stupid and quickly resolved. On the other hand, I didn't mind the subplot, and other than Homer's delusion, there wasn't really anything that bad.
King-Size Homer - 8.5/10 A very enjoyable gagfest. There wasn't really much else to it, apart from the onslaught of jokes. Homer was likeable, though.

Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bangalore - 7/10 - The setup for the main plot was pretty atrocious, but luckily it picked up. The songs at the end pushed this above the Season 17 average.

^^^ Pretty sure it's a spambot.

Boring. Nothing particularly wrong but nothing particularly right either.
spambot?
The Wettest Story Ever Told - 5.5/10 It was...very average. Standard for a trilogy episode (which Season 17 has too many of). None of the segments were awful, but none really stuck out at all. There were some smile-able moments, but alas, there were also some crude jokes, too.
The Wettest Story Ever Told - 6/10 - The Mutiny story was easily the best, otherwise not much to care about. Even S18's trilogy episode was a bit better.
