Well now, Season 17 starts, but not with the greatest of episodes...

Bonfire of the Manatees - 5/10 The plot was strange, and essentially another marriage crisis plot. However, whilst I thought that it was bad I didn't think it was downright terrible like many people say it is. If I told myself that I truly hated it, I'd just be forcing myself to go along with the majority. Truth is, this episode is bad, but is not really bad enough for me to say 'Oh god, I really hated watching that'.

The Girl Who Slept Too Little - 6.25/10 Not bad, and much better than 'Bonfire'. Though there were some unrealistic aspects about the plot, it had some funny moments and the story was generally realistic, and well paced.

Milhouse of Sand and Fog - 4.5/10 Not good. It was just another marriage crisis episode, with a weak conflict. It wasn't very funny, and it was essentially 'A Milhouse Divided' but minus the funny jokes, and plus an over the top conclusion.

Helter Shelter - 3.5/10 Yikes, this was bad. The humour was generally okay, though I only laughed once. The main problem was the plot. The Simpson family goes on a reality show when they can't find anywhere to stay, then they end up on a river, then they end up attacking tv producers with the help of people from another tv show. What the fuck.

Watched Falcon and the D'oh Man last night on Hulu. Didn't sound that interesting, but I had a really good time watching it. Definitely a prime piece of Jean era.
