Haven't posted in here for a while, so I forgot when I watched what, but whatever.

The Springfield Connection - 8.25/10 The premise isn't all that creative, as it's essentially 'Marge Gets a Job 2: Electric Boogaloo', and the episode is somewhat hastily wrapped up (Marge's disgust at the police corruption is evident from earlier on in the episode, but is sidelined by other plot elements). However, like the rest of its Season 6 brethren, it excels at being really funny. Plus the characterisation isn't half bad. Just a plain old fun episode.

Lemon of Troy 8.25/10 Like I think I said in the top 100 episode thread, I want to love this episode. Somehow I can't, though. I'm not sure why, but this always comes to me as a great episode, rather than a fantastic one. The plot keeps me interested, and there are plenty of good jokes. The way earlier plot elements/jokes tie in later, is a nice touch, too. However, it ultimately doesn't do a lot for me, so I can't be too nice to it.

Who Shot Mr. Burns (Part One) - 8.25/10 What a surprise, huh, another 8.25 out of ten. Yeah, I don't love this one as much as everyone else seems to. Has a lot of good jokes, and is better than WSMB Part Two. However, I'm not sure about Mr. Burns' characterisation in this one. I like him to be evil, but when he decides to block out the sun at the end, he (as Smithers puts it) crosses the line into 'cartoonish super-villany'. A strange complaint, but it just feels a bit overdramatic. Yeah, okay, maybe it's intentional, but it just doesn't sit right with me. Personal preference n stuff. There were some nicely atmostpheric bits at the end though, which did build the tension effectively. Overall a great episode - I won't deny that - but not a personal favourite of mine.

'Round Springfield - 6.75/10 Not really sure what to think about this one. I liked the plot, dealing with the death of a character. Generally, I think that was handled well. What was detrimental to it, was the number of jokes that didn't work, or scenes that felt awkward. The bit with Bleeding Gums Murphy in the clouds at the end just... didn't feel right, or feel that it belonged in the classic era. I dunno, but I don't love it.

Homer vs. Patty and Selma - 7.25/10 Not one of Season 6's better episodes. The plot was okay, but lost steam after Marge found out that Homer was in debt. The whole Homer as a chauffeur just felt like something to fill the time, and nothing against Mel Brooks, but I felt that his role here didn't serve much of a purpose. The end was quickly resolved, but I actually liked that this time, I think. Sudden endings are quite effective, sometimes. As for the subplot... eh. I liked the idea of the situation, but how Bart came to like ballet just felt a little bit contrived. Nitpicking, but hey ho.

Two Dozen and One Greyhounds - 7.25/10 Either this, or Team Homer, is probably the weakest classic episode that Scully wrote. Has some good jokes ('call someone who cares'), and some dumb ones too. Not bad jokes, just dumb ones (like Homer batting the lightbulb reveal, and the puppy noise that Lisa makes). Dumb jokes can still make you laugh, if done right. Liked the characterisation of Burns in this one - just the right level of evil. Otherwise, the episode was pretty unspectacular. The standout moment in this episode, of course, is 'See My Vest'. Don't know if that's necessarily a good thing if a song is the highlight of an episode. Also, I wonder what happend to She's the Fastest. Is she ever mentioned again?

    Marge In Chains - B
    Who Shot Mr.Burns (Part One) - A
The Trouble With Trillions - C (This episode is purely just what I would call a 'fun' episode. A simple straightforward episode with lots of good jokes and lines. Not one to be taken seriously. I used to rate this a 'D' cause I took it too seriously in the Simpsons cannon.)

How I Wet Your Mother - While the title sounds so fucking kinky, the episode wasn't half bad. In fact, I enjoyed it.

Blame It On Lisa-Supposedly the most controversial episode of the show but had tons of amazing one-liners and was well-paced (maybe a little too quick but flowed well nonetheless). 10/10
