a midsummer's nice dream- A
E Pluribus Wiggum - 4/10 or 2/5 purely because I like Ralph, pathetic episode actually.
Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind - 6.5/10 Good but not great. It had an interesting concept, and I liked it when Homer went through his own mind, but the episode eventually fell apart when everything just happened to fit in to cause some elaborate party.
Homer's Night Out - 5.5/10 Quite dull. Worst of Season 1, so far. Slow, dull, and to top it all off, had a corny, preachy ending.
E Pluribus Wiggum - 5/10 Bland and forgettable. The episode didn't progress much - it just ended. The satire was weak, though at least it wasn't solely Fox gags, which the show just loves doing to death, in recent years.
Poochie needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine
Homer the Father - 5/5
E-I-E-I-D'oh : 17/20.
Monty Can't Buy Me Love : 11/20.
Season Rankings : 7 > 5 > 6 > 8 > 4 > 9 > 3 > 2 > 10 > 15 > 16 > 1 > 11 > 14 > 12 > 20 > 18 > 17 > 19 > 13.
That 90's Show - 4.5/10 Pointless retconning aside, this episode just wasn't very good. Just a boring marriage crisis episode with a bunch of not very funny 90's jokes and Homer becoming a famous musician (which wasn't explored much, due to Marge and the proffessor taking up most of the episode).
Old Money 8/10
E. Pluribus Wiggum: 2/10 - Didn't make sense. It was just an excuse for the writers to be let loose to write anything stupid and air it.
That 90's Show: 4/10 - Better than Pluribus, as this didn't stink of "let's come up with the most stupid idea possible", but this does not make me very nostalgic like numerous season 3 episodes do about the 90's. "Sadgasm" was a bad rehash of "Bee Sharps", the professor was incredibly one-dimensional and boring, and the 90's references were extremely hit and miss.

Bart vs. Thanksgiving.
Classic. First Lisa/Bart episode with depth. Really sweet without being sappy. Not my favourite of season two, but fantastic nonetheless. 5/5
"Lisa's Wedding" 5/5
One great show and loved by the fans, but it just creeped me out to find out that Lisa lost her virginity to Milhouse (WTF?? i thought he was like her big sister XD)
The Crepes of Wrath - 6.5/10 Decent. It felt a bit underwhelming in comparrison to some other episodes in the season, but it probably stands firmly in the middle of the season in terms of quality.
Krusty Gets Busted - 7.5/10 Pretty good for the season. Not quite as good as the other classic Sideshow Bob episodes, but it's questionable to whether this should be categorised as a Bob episode (he only really plays a part in the latter half). It was reasonably funny, and their was a nice feeling of mystery throughout.
Make Room for Lisa : 7/20.
Maximum Homerdrive : 18/20.
Treehouse of Horror XII : 12/20.
Treehouse of Horror XI : 10/20.
Treehouse of Horror X : 13/20.
E Pluribus Wiggum - D-
Bart's Inner Child - B
A Star is Burns - B+/A-
Sweets and Sour Marge - D
The Computer Wore Menace Shoes 4/5
Jimbo Jones: [about Homer] I hear that guy's ass has it's own congressman!
Bart Simpson: I wash myself with a rag on a stick.
Homer Simpson: [takes cap out of dryer and puts it on his head] Mmmmm... I CAN feel three types of softness.
Lisa Simpson: [from upstairs] Dad, what are you doing down there?
Homer Simpson: Washing my fat guy's hat honey!

The Springfield Files
A+ I had forgotten how amazing this episode is.

Some Enchanted Evening - 6.5/10 Okay. The story was interesting enough, but it was clear with some bits of the animation that the episode suffered from animation issues when it was first made (hence having to be re-done) and this episode wasn't a whole lot of funny.
...and with that, Season 1 is finished. So now I'll do the ratings for the Season as a whole, and like always, some of the scores have changed.

Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire - 7.5/10 A good start to the show
Bart the Genius - 8/10 Good, through and through
Homer's Odyssey - 5.5/10 Boring and too dark in moments
There's No Disgrace Like Home - 5.5/10 Dodgy characterisations all around
Bart the General - 6.75/10 Reasonably entertaining, but lost steam towards the end
Moaning Lisa - 8/10 Pretty good for the season
The Call of the Simpsons - 5.75/10 Nothing much happens, then Homer is bigfoot
The Telltale Head - 7.75/10 An interesting plot, with a number of amusing moments
Life on the Fast Lane - 8.25/10 Best of the season, with a great ending
Homer's Night Out - 5.25/10 Dull and preachy
The Crepes of Wrath - 6.5/10 Decent, for the first travel episode
Krusty Gets Busted - 7.5/10 An entertaining episode
Some Enchanted Evening - 6.5/10 An okay ending to the season
Season 1 Average: 6.83/10

Overall, Season 1 is better than I used to think it was. It's quite uneven, with a few episodes that are great, but a fair few that are below average. Most of the faults in this season are relatively acceptable, as the show was still finding its feet. However, Season 1 still has its issues, however you look at it, so it remains the weakest classic season.
Who Shot Mr Burns Part 1, 10/10

The Book Job-3/5 stars
Love, Springfieldian Style - C
Channel 4 may have cut obscene amounts out, but I thought this was alright, especially compared to other trilogy episodes. Some okay jokes and I actually kinda liked the second segment.
Love, Springfieldian Style - 5/10 A big old 'meh'. It was no better than the average trilogy episode, but it was probably no worse. I did prefer a few of the trilogy episodes from the previous seasons, though, because they were generally stronger on humour. Some of the segments did feel short, and rushed. Then again, that may be because Channel 4 is so cut-happy.
The Book Job - 6.5/10 Best of Season 23 so far. There were some odd moments, but generally there wasn't too much wrong with this episode, which is a real plus nowadays. The plot was quite strong, and there were actually a fair few smileable or even a few funny moments.
The Book Job - 3/5
Three Gays of the Condo - 3.5/5
The Book Job 6/10
Angry Dad: the Movie - 2.5/5
