Tonight...at 10 PM...on Comedy Central...a new episode of SOUTH PARK...and it's about the quiet, little mountain town...becoming gay...what did you think about this episode? All I have to say...I will kill Matt and Trey if Big Gay Al does not appear...

    Wow.

South Park has officially become a show that jumps the shark almost every episode now.

    Funny though.

I actually thought the episode was decent until the crab people crap. Then it was downhill from there. 3/5

I don't know what you guys thought of it, but I found the episode lackluster at best. It was funny at times (loved the crab people song), but mainly wasn't all that great. First of all, I never watched QEFTSG, so I didn't get the intros and all...but besides that, it was a letdown. After eps like the Earth reality tv show one and ladder to heaven last year, I thought SP was gaining on the Simpsons. Well, time will tell on that. Only about a week left til new Simpsons!!! All in all, probably a B-. Of course, I'll continue to watch, but this wasn't a great ep.

    Wasnt the greatest episode, 3/5.

I thought it was funny. Definitely on the better half of this season (although this season hasn't been incredible). Once the crab people revealed themselves, I thought "oh no, not somthing like this again". But then as soon as they started talking, I bursted out laughing. Reminded me of the Queen Spider in "Red Hot Catholic Love". Some funny moments throughout. The animation was nice too. All in all, it wasn't really that memorable (and was kind of a rehash of "Chinpoko Mon") but it was enjoyable to watch anyways.

    Wasn't this the season premiere?

I thought it was good...but not nearly as good as last seasons first ep. They need to utilize as much cartmen as possible, and this season will be consistently funny.
I knew as soon as the characters' eyes began to roll back something great was about to happen. Crab people.....freakin hilarious.

No, technically it was the start of the second half of season 7.

    Interesting. Very interesting.

On another note...I remember reading awhile ago how many episodes Trey and Matt had signed on for....does anyone know?

EDIT: Damn. Beaten out by TWO POSTS! Ouch...

It was pretty good. Most of the humor relied on seeing the boys/men acting gay. Now, the "crab people" was a WTF moment at first, but then during the commercial break I thought of the ridiculous shit been brought on before (going as way back as Korn presented as the gang from Scooby Doo) on this show, and soon grew to love it. Although, I don't think kids in school are gonna chant "CRAB PEOPLE..CRAB PEOPLE" as much as they were with "Jennifer Lopez"'s taco flavored kisses song. Pretty good spoof on the "OKAY TO BE GAY" thing. B+...

2nd EDIT: Hey, Tomacco, I really thought it was more of a rehash of "The Super Best Friends", but that's just me...

i liked this episode cause it basically said what i have been saying since i first heard about the show queer eye. women don't want gayish men! i would NEVER in a million years subject a boyfriend or husband to a makeover. odds are if i am already with them then that means i like them the way they are. anyway, i can always count on south park for up to date satire on current events. even though most of you gave it not to glowing reviews i will give it a good 5/5.

I thought it had some good surprises. (Now that you mention it, however, I, TOO, was surprised there was no appearance or mention of Big Gay Al.) BTW, what does WTF stand for? I thought I was familiar with ALL the Internet-used abbreviations. At any rate, I thought this ep to be better than that "Kid Notorious" crap that followed it.

    5/5

I gotta disagree with you guys. I thought it was great. Every south park episode is basically satirizing something pathetic in American Society and this is yet another great example.

Enjoyable South Park episode. But the crab people stuff was just stupid. 4/5

A pretty good episode. The Crab People chant had me laughing despite its absurdity. 4/5.

I give it a "meh". I thought the Queer Eye stuff was hilarious-I love that show. (Even though they did Kyan's hair wrong and made Jai way too black). But the crab people thing I thought was kinda dumb. Almost an easy out. Didn't think it was all that great. I think I was expecting to be alot more offended than I was. After the Christopher Reeve thing, this episode had the potential to be simply crude. They handled it nicely, til the crab people thing. So yes, retire Mr Slave, only funny with Lemmiwinks. Yes, Big Gay Al should have been there. Did South Park jump the shark with this episode? No, but they are damn close so they should be careful!

Sidenote: Love Queer Eye, but I would never date a guy that they make over. No guy should have more bathroom products than fingers on one hand. (obviously there are some exceptions. A friend and I made a list)

Very funny episode except for the last segment. The episode totally lost my interest with the crab people. I thought the story was really funny but it really got hurt by it's ending. 3/5

Endings like that are proof of the consequences of writing these episodes in a week.

The concept was dumb, but it's great in humor.

Kyle: You'll never make ME a metrosexual.

Crabperson: Then we'll just have to make you.....crabpeople.

    Crabpeople: Craaab..people! Craaab..people! Craaab..people!

Now that's humor. But I think it's time for Matalic to unleash anger because Big Gay Al didn't show up.
Another slightly more sensical plot which is still not that sensical is the story of Lemiwinks' escape from Mr. Slave's ass. Great "The Hobbit" parody.

That song just had me laughing even after watching it. It was just so stupid,I couldn't get it out of my mind

Craabb Peeople.. Craaabb Peeeopplee... Look like Crab but talk like people .. craab peeopple.

Also, how the hell can you tell if it jumped the shark if its one episode. You have to watch a few more episodes to decide if that was the start of a downward spiral.

I really don't think there's a decline... the show's always taken topical subjects and twisted them into some quirky bizarre outcome, and this one was no exception.

Great take on the whole metrosexual thing, and a clever jab at the Queer Eye/Boy Meets Boy/[insert gay-themed show here] phenomenon. Yeah, the Crab People thing was a tad rushed, but it was still pretty funny.

And yeah, Mr. Slave is getting slightly tiring... but not that bad.
