I thought the Wheel would completely stop on Bender![]()
GREAT!
This episode was one of the best ever. I hope some day they can make the real end of Futurama in the movie(s)... if they finally do it(them).
10/10
And, well, I don't know if any of you will read this, but anyway thanks a lot to all the cast & crew of Futurama. Thanks a lot.![]()
Thanks for the list, Matty!

Linctron: The Lincoln robot with 200 personalities?
Joey: The robot mafia with the mousepad?
Hair Robot: Sold Fry his hair, appeared in the robot asylum.
Lulubelle7: One of the moon farmer's robot dauhgters.
Humorbot 5.0: Mentioned in one of the title gags.
Patchcord Adams: Tried to cheer Bender up in "Bending in the Wind".
Liubot: Lucy Liubot?
Coolometer, Executive Gamma: Wasn't these from the last episode?

Lulubelle 7 = I believe it's one of the farmer's robot daughters from The Series Has Landed, along with Daisy Mae 28K and The Crushinator.
Rab-Bot = I forget the ep/ep name, but he was from a Bot Mitzvah scene. "We believe [Robot Jesus] was a very well-designed robot, we just don't consider him the Messiah." (I think I butchered the quote, feel free to correct.)
Liubot = From the Lucy Liu episode(s)?

i thought it was a good ending to a great show. i always hoped they would end up together and they did. they left it up to you to think of what the rest of their future would be. also the devil robot being one of my favorite characters i'm glad they had him in there.
"Captain's Log, Stardate...damn. What's the date? Number One, what's today? No, I know it's Tuesday, what's the date? The STARdate!"
The beginning was sad when they said "See you on another channel" and the end was perfect with Fry and Leela kissing in the music while Fry just plays on...I hope it will revive someday.
Lisa Simpson is a robot?
Damn local station. Since Fox didn't air the "Sunday" bumper like they usually do, my local station put their "KDVR Fox 31" info bar over the opening saying. I know what it is from message boards though ("See you on some other channel". Very appropriate, and it tells the audience that, if nothing else, it'll live on in reruns)
I don't want to give this one a rating til I watch it again (I watched it with several people who had never seen Futurama before...they loved it by the way, so their laughter and reactions blocked out some lines here and there), and am able to really evaluate it. In fact, I'm not sure I EVER want to "grade" it simply because, as Tibor said, its hard to be fair toward an anticipated finale. But as of now, I thought it was great, and one of the best of the season (though "Jurassic Bark", "Bender Should Not...", and possibly even "The Sting" were better). One thing I don't think anyone has touched on was how....operatic the whole thing was, as in, similar to an actual opera. Not just the opera scenes themselves, or any singing parts, but the whole thing. The various "deals" Bezzlebot makes and the consequences...it fit the overall theme of the episode excellently. The opera scenes themselves were also very well done, and often hilarious. By that token the episode maybe wasn't one of the funnier ones, but had lots of great moments nothenless (donkey kong barrels, Hedonismbot, all the robot devil stuff). And the ending was in fact the way I hoped the last shot of the show would be in tone. Not overly happy (as someone else here said), but still sweet and touching, and not sad either (I had feared it would end too sadly).
I might have a couple gripes I guess, but they aren't important. This show went out in style. As the double image of the ship crashing in the opening titles suggested, this show may be obscure, but its a classic.
Two eyes, two ears, a chin, a mouth, ten fingers, two nipples, a butt, two kneecaps, a penis. I've just described to you the Loch Ness Monster. And the reward for its capture? All the riches in Scotland. So I have one question: why are you here?

The episode "Whacking Day'' curiously aired the same day as Seinfeld's "The Contest'', which deals with a different kind of whacking.
Heh, useless trivia, but, this is just coincidence and not irony, I know: Now two of Katey Segal's (that she starred in) series have the final episode having a plot point where somebody tries to stop a marriage. The other one was Married...With Children...
Does anyone else find it funny that some of the robots on the wheel don't have hands at all?
Yeah that is kinda funny.
Like DtB mentioned, the whole episode seemed very operatic. I once studied opera (most of them are more violent than you think), and the entire episode remined me of Faust, the first use of the "Guy sells _______ to devil, his plan backfires in some way, etc." cliche that's so popular in today's media.

The Lisa was the first, or very close to it, home computer.
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.
Anyone else notice that Leela was able to hear the robot devil's proposal?
Just kidding, ECHELON.

I think the writers were aware of that when she said "Whatever you said I won't agree" (or close to that anyway)Originally posted by PhthaloType

No, no no. When he proposed, she had the things in her ears, and when she said "Whatever you said I won't agree" that was when he was making a deal.

I wondered about that, but if you look at the devil's acting, you'll see he is pantomiming a lot. There's no problem there.

I missed it. Is it available for download yet?
Fantastic episode. Beelzebot was hilarious, everything about it was great. A superb ending, definitely one ep to add to my all time favourite list. 5 out of 5.

I'm not a big fan of Futurama. I watch off and on, I never could really get into the show. I guess I'm not for the sci-fi sort of humor. But I watched this episode since it was the very last one and I wanted to see how they were going to end Fry and Leela's romance... I was very impressed. Great episode. I thought the episode ended a little abruptly when I first saw it but looking back it didn't really bother me. The jokes in this episode are actually really funny. The only thing I didn't enjoy too much was the opera robot (I can't remember its name). Wasn't that voiced by Dan? But it sounded to much like the YESSS Guy and got annoying. Overall great series finale...

Thanks for the help with all the robots, guys!

You need BitTorrent for this download to work.
Yes, but his Upperbody casing reads Eurotrash 80, so I assume that's who he meant.Originally posted by ComixFan

Just rewatched it, anyone else notice the Robot Devil's old music teacher was Fry's?
The final episode. What it lacks in humor, it makes up for in originality, and the ending leaves the viewer to guess what's going to happen - probably the best way to end the show, although the production staff may not have realized at the time that this would be the last episode.
I whatched it last night. It was pretty good, but I was dissapointed with the ending. They left it on a really REALLY bad cliffhanger. I want to know what happens next.
A great end to a great show with a great last line.
Just Great
