Ooops. Thanks Incidentalist. Again, I'm not an expert about those dvds or movies (nothing against them, I just wouldn't buy them myself).

I just feel, from the pattern so far, that Fox realizes a day that a "Lord of the Rings" dvd comes out is a particularly good day for dvd sales simply because of LOTR, and thus perhaps wanted to "piggyback" on that effect. A trickle down effect if you will. A May release kinda debunks that theory for this year though (since it would have been announced by now if season four was coming out in May).
Two eyes, two ears, a chin, a mouth, ten fingers, two nipples, a butt, two kneecaps, a penis. I've just described to you the Loch Ness Monster. And the reward for its capture? All the riches in Scotland. So I have one question: why are you here?

I'm hoping the DVD does come out on June, and doesn't get pushed back like it did the previous time. Otherwise, awesome news.

    This, Aqua Teen, AND Sealab?

I'll believe it when I see it at this point, but hopefully we will indeed get the set in June. Sounds good if true.

To avoid disapointment though, I'm just going to work on the assumption that there won't be any features (aside from commentaries). That way if the deleted scenes and other stuff actually shows up, I'll be pleasantly suprised.

I'm going with either a metallic orange or pink. Probably the former as the latter could look too much like Season Three for some people.

I'm just thinking now, that if this Season Four set DOES get released in June, then Season Five could potentially be released for the Christmas season.

Thinking about it, in the UK last year, Season 3 of Futurama was released around June, and Season 4 came out in November. Wouldn't that be fantastic to have two Simpsons sets coming out this year?

    We can only hope.

I'm really excited about this one (obviously). Yee haw.

But is it just me or is Disc Four really, really lacking in comparison to the others? They'll have to cram it full of special features to fix that.
    Season 17 Thus Far:

    Bonfire of the Manatees: C+
The Girl Who Slept Too Litte: A-
Milhouse of Fog and Sand: B+

Woo! deleted scenes! I hope that they actually include them... since season 3 didn't include all the things they said...

And... spanish dubbing? Is this the first time they include it in a complete season's U.S. edition? I hope you like it, I think it's very good.

I think that the spanish set won't be released until september or so. Fox España sucks too.

This is awsome news! And, instead of me going back to school right when I get the set, it will come out in the summer.

Actually, it's very common for DVDs released in the US to have a Spanish-language track. Since many people that live in this country speak Spanish as their primary language, it only makes sense.

Back on topic: WOO-HOO!!! And at the same time, CRAP! I still have the final G1 Transformers set to buy, not to mention Beast Wars Seasons 1 and 2, Futurama Volume 3, The Critic, South Park Seasons 3 and 4, The Robocop Trilogy, The Dukes of Hazzard Season 1, King of the Hill Season 2, and maybe Dilbert!

Oh man...I'm going to be broke. Good thing my bride-to-be likes the shows listed above.

Has anyone seen this elsewhere (not quoted from TVSHowsOnDVD)?

I'd just like to be sure that this is the real deal. What concerns me is that throughout the press release they talk about "THE SIMPSONS" SEASON FOUR DVD COLLECTION vs. "The Complete Fourth Season", which would be in line with the previous sets.

Yeah, we could have a fake BUT you have to remember that the Season 2 DVD had preview cover art that said Season Two on it or whatever.......they later changed it to "The Complete Second Season" and the artwork was still the same.
