Along with the season 4 episodes that would be a dream DVD.

heck, as far as I'm concerned they can cut the commentaries and extra crap if they would just put 3 or 4 of them out every year... i'm going through withdrawl.

Incorrect. If that's all you want, go watch them on TV.

I'd like to see a little thing on all the Simpsons video games made.

  14. #134

I just want a bunch of shit I can watch once or twice, and commentary tracks. That's it, deleted scenes are underwhelming, we already get syndication cuts

With the insane amounts of syndication, you're a fool to want the DVDs without commentary. Anyway, I'll bet dollars to donuts that the commentary isn't what's holding the releases back- it's FOX not wanting to lose the precious syndication ratings.

And Mike Reiss is funnier than Conan O'Brien.

i'm new here, so forgive me if this statement has been said already, but i was very very very disappointed when in the season 2 dvd, episode: bart the dare devil. they only show homer falling down springfield gorge once. i think all the dvd's have been perfect, except for this one single HUGE mistake. anyone notice, i've never heard anyone talk about it. i'm new here

We've heard lots about it. Homer is only seen falling down the gorge once in Bart the Daredevil. You hear him fall down the second time, but don't see him crashing down to the ground.

In a clipshow two years later, they showed new footage of Homer falling down the second time, specially for that episode. So nothing to be disappointed about at all. Not a mistake at all. Bart The Daredevil was shown in FULL.

I actually have a few seconds of the crew doing some lines from "Kamp Krusty" on video from promo of the show back when it was on Thursdays. Basically it's of Dan and Nancy going:

BART: Dad, I know I didn't live up to my end of the bargin, but can I please go to Kamp Krusty?

HOMER: Sure, I didn't want you hangin' around here all summer anyway!

(Cut to a shot of the writers and other voice actors all laughing.)

I think this footage (and the other behind the scenes info with it) was an inner-Fox commercial they used to promote the show to their own staff, or something.

(EDIT. MOOSE: The Simpsons Arcade Game and the Turtles arcade game: "Turtles in Time" are actually the same game programming wise, just with different 'skins'.)

I think it would be a cool feature to show a little screen when you put to commentaries on. You know, like the feature picture-picture on any TV. They could show us the little screen in a corner of the screen or whatever so you'd be able to see the protagonists (doing their commentaries) while wiewing the episode. That would be cool and a pretty good imrpovement.

Yeah, a video commentary would rule. Perhaps the multi-angle feature could be utilized..

Adding on to what Jake said, a documentary in 2000 on BBC (a part of 'Simpsons Night' showed the voice recording scene of when Krusty burns his finger on a Krusty brand clock, with the additional line; "got any Krusty brand ointment?". I'm guessing that the recorded most of/the entire episode when it was originally being recorded. That would be a great feature.

    Hang on there...

Season 4, should have outtakes, and like everysingle simpsons sofa run (the intro where they run to the sofa), with Lionel Hutz telling you about each sub-menu and biographies of the cast. And maybe a history of the Simpsons by Mr Hutz himself.

Uh... the guy who did Lionel Hutz (Phil Hartman) is dead. That's why you don't see Lionel Hutz or Troy McClure anymore.

And, uh, I think if Phil Hartman hadn't been shot dead; it's more likely Troy would tell the history..

I ain't payi8ng 40 quid each for S1 and S2, considering S3 is 30 quid in WHSMITHs. Its a bloody rip off, tenquid dearer when they are older and have less features. Im trying to get either for under 20 quid on ebay.
In Marks and Spencers they do 2Simpsons DVDs (Film Festival etc) for 15 quid. I might get some of those if the seasons dvds dont hurry. up.

    Cheers for the welcome BTW
