Back to the George Couldren thing, I did a scan of the book today on a friends scanner. It's not good quality but maybe one of you picture bods can clean it up nice for George and make a sig/avatar for him...?

Wow, a lot of talent here. I'm impressed!

I don't have Photoshop, so I'd appreciate if someone made a banner for my sig.
- colors: yellow, blue, black
- my user name "Mike Scully" centered
- on the lower left, an image of the jockey elves, from the scene in Saddlesore Galactica when they're screaming "you must die!"
- towards the right, an image of the scene in Homer vs Dignity where the panda is being dragged to his rape
- faded in the background, a self-portrait of the real Mike Scully (just type "mike scully" in the google image search to find one)

How do I "put" the picture into the sig, so to speak?

Go to your profile, eedit profile, and put this in the box that says where you should put your signature.

Url as in http://nohomers.net/whatever/yeeah.gif

If you uploaded your picture onto a geocities server, log on to geocities, go to file manager, and rename your picture file from a .gif/.bmp/.jpg to a .txt extension, then put that in your signature thing.

Then, when you're done, scroll down and hit the submit modifications button, and viola!

If you want a custom avatar, and the URL is located on Geocities, and it hasn't been changed to a .txt, it'll still work fine, I think.

If your sig isn't working and it looks perfectly fine, it might be because

A. You put in the wrong image url, like maybe http://www.springfieldam.com/images....fat.gif&id=271 . If so, right click on the image you want, go to properties, and you will see the real file name ( http://www.springfieldam.com/homer/homerfat.gif )
B. The Site may not allow hotlinking, like Murderhorn.com

upload it to geocities and rename the file ending to .txt

Sign in at geocities.com, to the right you see a few links, click on easy-upload. Then, when the file is uploaded, go to your file manager and rename your picture file from a .gif/.bmp/.jpg to a .txt extension (check the image you want to rename, then click the 'rename' button), then put that in your signature thing.
