Well,it looks that way. Also a few months back they said R1 would be a month after R2, I'm not sure whether this stil applies but if it does it's Sept for R1!

WTF WTF WTF!!!!!Ah well i'm Region 2,wait a second,region 2 before region 1,that is suspicious now...OH MAH GAWD!!!

As for some who've said they could take or leave the commentary:
It's really the main reason I buy the DVDs. Sure, a cleaned up presentation and restoration of syn cuts are nice, but I can watch my tapes anytime; I love the commentaries and watch them repeatedly.
doubt it, Region 2 got Season 2 first last year
Hopefully when the new format eventually comes, they'll forget this region crap. Can't we just all get DVDs at the same time?

Fox released a handful of new release dates for TV season DVDs this year on Amazon.com on Friday, and Season 3 was announced as TBA.![]()
I hope that they'll put in some history on Bongo or something.
Or in other words: Why Matt decided a comic version, and ditch it entirely.

I really should visit here more often...
Yes, the commentaries are great. Probably the best thing about the DVD'sOriginally posted by Tibor

Hahaha, I love the title they gave this section for the April Fool's thing (which was, for when you read this months from now, "Where the Hell is My Season 3 DVD?")...they should keep that, since that is pretty much all we come here and talk about!
Yes and when It's released change it to "Where The Hell Is My Season 4 DVD?"
DVD review have now announced the 3rd dvd to be pushed back to August in R2, so its official Futurama have beaten the Simpsons in the DVD race as the 3rd Futurama season comes out 2nd July in R2

What?! They didn't say it was official, they simply said 'has been pushed back to', ie anytime between August 2003 and July 2004.

oops, my mistake
Whaaaaat?? until June 2004??? Who would survive that??
Luckily I checked Amazon (I am RC 2) and they say (probable) release date is Sept. 11 ... let's keep our fingers crossed!!
But that is sooooooo long!!
damn, I can't wait.

I don't think anyone can! BTW that July 2004 was a bit exaggerated. But only a BIT..!

I think they meant July 2040.

I think when they get around to releasing S3 DVD the new format would come out and they would start releasing them again from S1.

That happened when they got to the Season 2 videos in the UK!

Probably, but I'd imagine they'd just re-use the commentaries, so it wouldn't take so long.Originally posted by Slurms McKenzie

I don't know how much longer my crappy MPEGs can keep me happy![]()

According to Issue 50 of DVD Review, S3 in Region 2 has got a 28 July release date at £39.99 . Note this isn't 100% confirmed, though.

Where can I find out which region I'm in?

Have a look at DVD's in your area in the shops; some have a tiny sign on the back with a white globe and a number. That's your region.

I think people are going too far with the whole format thing..even if one DVD comes out a year, like the pace is going now, when all of them up to 14 are out a new format MIGHT, but probably won't be out.
agreed i mean CDs came out early 80's and are still going very strong today, so are videos

where did you find it ?
