    Speaking of the DVD commentaries, does anyone know if season 3's were recorded yet? I know season 2's were recorded months before the release.

    Fox are a bunch of assholes, they know people want the season DVD sets and they make us all wait on purpose, because the anticipation builds this way.

    season 3

    FOX has now squashed the before christmas dream of us owning season 3 before christmas by stating that season 3 is coming in 2003 no exact date was given.

    forgot to copy the link but it's on the fox site somewhere. sorry

    it seems that the majority of aussie sites that listed season 3 comning out at the end of nov/dec were actually the release of Futurama season 1 which comes out here on the 27 november, at least
    i can have that for christmas.

    I think there may be a leaflet about Season 3 in the forthcoming Futurama Season 2 DVD, there was one for TS Season 2 in the Futurama Season 1 DVD, and going by the time difference between seasons 1 and 2 I think it's likely to be March... and then April... and then May... and so on.

    But here's waiting for November 11, Star Wars and Futurama, and a possible picture of the season 3 DVD, What a day!

    We can only wait. Also if S2 Futurama Disc does actually contain the release date for the Simpsons S3 DVD, then we Brits get a rather nice touch getting information first.

    Release date for Season 3

    Ok I finally found a release date for season three... but do I believe it.... April 1 2003 since I am only a newbie here some of you guru's would be able to tell if the site that mentions this date is bonafide or not CHECK IT OUT

    That site is just a collection of some trivial things about the Simpsons, however it has fooled many with it's headlines, because I've seen people on other forums get completely caught in by that.


    The give aways are the so called release date: 1st Apirl AKA April Fools day and One of the bonuses is the lost Simpsons episode "Kent Brockman vs. Laramie Cigarettes" which Fox pulled from the lineup after legal pressure from some tobacco companies. No such episode exists, just the joking idea of there being one.

    That fake episode is also at SNPP.com.

    The Digital Bits (a very reliable site on reporting DVD release dates) reports that FOX will release season 3 of The Simpsons sometime in April 2003.

    Hopefully these rumors are either true, or that the date will come before then. That mean's it would be a 9 month wait from Season 2 to 3, which is better than the 11 month wait for Season 1 to Season 2.

    Even then I imagine the date will get pushed back a lot. Remember how many release dates we got for season 2?

    I was actually a very bad boy last year and bought all 12 seasons on VCD. The quality is excellent...and I paid less than one DVD would cost me. However I do have the first 2 DVD's and plan to buy the rest of them.

    IGNDVD has updated their release date list, with The Simpsons Season Three slated for an April 2003 date.

    Well George Cauldron you'll probably get it in three months since season 2 came out in the U.K. about two months before the States did .
