Lack of newest Simpies episodes on DVD isn't the biggest loss in the world but I still despise the idea of having to stream episodes of something I wanna watch over the internet, be it through a shitty expensive app or a shitty illegal website. My god man, at least give me the option!

I can't even get the SimpsonsWorld app, so it's useless to me. I wouldn't mind streaming the Simpsons if I could actually do it, but I can't.

out of all the dvds I had over the years I miss my simpsons ones the most. would love if they released the rest but sadly, it's not gonna happen.

it annoys me but at the same time, you can find them on simpsonsworld and they're on tv a lot too, of course. someday I will have a nice collection of 1-17 though(and maybe 20... if I can find it cheap enough).

My one and only issue with the DVDs is that having so many seasons takes up a monstrous amount of shelfspace. I'm a collecting/packaging nerd and this is the only show I've ever been able to justify permanently taking out of its packaging and putting in a CD binder instead (though I still have the cases in a box in my closet). Aside from being more economic it's also better for the discs than that ghastly packaging style for seasons 11 onwards that seem like they're designed to make your discs unplayable. In some cases they got terminal scratches just taking them out of the goddamn things the first time, when they're totally embedded in the cardboard and you almost need a tow cable to pull them out. I'm sorry but I can't stop being mad about that. The eco-friendly cardboard things the Comedy Central episodes of Futurama come in are pretty crap too but they're still a lot better than the ones those Simpsons seasons use and I don't know what in god's name was going through the Fox Home Entertainment people's heads.

That they'll wear out faster and people will need to re-buy them?

@LosTickaToeRest: Now i'm mildly concerned for my Black Sails blu-rays since they also are in the irritatingly tight cardboard sleeve things. Not sure if those are as damaging as the Simpsons packaging since I never got around to getting the later seasons of it.

I don't think you'll have to worry @Torrens because blu-rays are much more scratch-resistant than DVDs as far as I know.

Any chance you have FXX? I missed it yesterday, but it's already up on Simpsons World.

I don't have the channel and I don't do that site, since I can't get everything into view.
I want the DVDs back soooooooo badly since I want the entire series and I been recording it since season 9.
If that doesn't show how loyal I am nothing will.

I have the original shitty packaging for season 1. I also have seasons 2-9. I'm planning on getting seasons 10 and 11 so I can have the simpsons through the 90s. I also have the movie

Unless the rights are owned by a more than 1 company. Then they will start fucking around, that's what happened to the batman tv series.

The other day I again read someone complaining about the season 2 menus and how you have to to press enter on the DVD/BD remote to spin the heads the times needed to get to the episode menu.

Am I the only one here who can use the root menu button to skip it and go directly to the menu? If it's a thing on all S2 sets I'm surprised more haven't noticed that it can be done.

Yeah, it is very easy to skip the spinning gimmick. I never got why people were so annoyed by it.

    BUMP
Sorry if this thread is old, but I just want to share what my Simpsons boxsets have. I know I only have a few, but I'm planning to get the rest, including the upcoming 18th Season.

    As of now, I have:
    Season 1 with flap
    Season 2 with flap
    Season 4 without flap
    Season 6 with flap
    Season 9 with flap
Season 11 with flap on spine and opening for the DVDs
Season 12 with flap on spine and opening for the DVDs
Season 20 with flap on inner box and a sliding outer box

Lmfao nostalgia coming back four years later and seeing this thread I started. My DVD collection has grown exponentially since then, and Ive completed my years long quest to get the Simpsons head boxes, the nicer looking Futurama/King of the Hill dvds with the case for each disc, the Bender head complete series for Futurama, both of the Space Ghost adult swim shop exclusive DVDs and the 12 oz mouse dvd. Good times

Did you get the rest of Space Ghost Coast to Coast with the custom DVD thing that they used to have?

I need to get more King of the Hill DVD's, I've got the complete seasons 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 but not the rest, they seem to be more expensive after the 5th one for some reason so I've not caught up on them yet, I will though.

I know this is an old thread, I have a lot of TV shows on DVD and I’ll post them right here. I have all of Family Guy on DVD except the last two Star Wars specials, I have American Dad volume one, I own all of Futurama on DVD, and of course, season 1-12 and 20 of The Simpsons. I’ll eventually get all the Simpsons boxsets.

No really, there isnt. Stop asking.
Whats your favorite episode of The Simpsons?

Beavis and Butthead are good too, I've got the Beavis and Butthead Collection in the gold packaging which is awesome, the Most Wanted DVD, 2011 comeback season and two different versions of Beavis and Butthead Do America, you should collect these if you haven't already
