The movie is finished as of this week.

I've mentioned it in two other posts in two different sub forums on here, but in short I went to a panel at a comic book store where about half a dozen animators from both the show and movie (including Mike B. Anderson which was a surprise. Also two guys from the comic.) were there. It was mostly for the handbook that was just released, but we talked about some cool stuff in there and according to them, as of this week or at least by next week at the latest the movie is officially complete.

Also, the editing process seemed to be pretty rigorous. Apparently even compared to the screening there were a fair amount of snippets taken out and stuff added in, couple of things re-tweaked. Must have been tough. (I heard some of the animators they got from Disney got into full blown shout matches with others because of frustration, since this show/movie's style is so different than the particulars and details heavy way they usually do things. I want to see animators getting into a fist fight around a cubicle. lol)They seem really happy with how it turned out, there were definitely some things though that were "more or less" fully animated that they had to cut in the editing room floor. I hope they're included as an extra on the DVD eventually, that'd be awesome.

But yeah, I know its a small bit of news to constitute its own topic but hey, any news is news right? So its pretty much finished now for certain.
