WORST character

What is your worst character on The Simpsons.

I dont really have one i really dislike but if i had to say one it would be Bumbel bee man. Patty and Selma are bad but I like the relationship between them and Homer. Homer Vs Patty and Selma is a good EG

From the ACTUAL Simpsons it would be Granpa. Yes I like him but he can be VERY annouying and BORING.

Bob Sacamano 09-06-2004 11:50 AM

The guy who says "Yeeess" all the time is the most annoying in my opinion

Mira 09-06-2004 11:59 AM

Lindsay Naegle is the only character I dislike.

Dr Zaius 09-06-2004 04:07 PM

Ralph and Prof. Frink are two popular characters I dislike, though I wouldn't call them the worst characters of the show. Maybe Cookie Kwan.

DaSimpsons 09-06-2004 04:18 PM

yes guy, lindsay naegle, cookie kwan are all good candidates. But lately i've been really starting that damn texas talking hick of a cowboy.

C'mon Zaius, you actually hate Ralph and Frink?

The General 09-06-2004 04:19 PM

West side, yeah, we get it...

Cookie Kwan is horrible, but Lauren Tom is fantastic...

kevin 09-06-2004 04:33 PM

The Yes Guy, Cookie Kwan and the Rich Texan are all very annoying.

Tress MacNeille does her voice though, not LT.

But yeah, with the exception of "The Way We Weren't", she's unbearable.

Crotis Jivefunk 09-06-2004 05:47 PM

Ralph'd be better if he showed more emotion. I've found Rod and Tod annoying since I was five or six. I find the Yes Guy occasionally funny.

squishee lady 09-06-2004 06:01 PM

There's not really a character I don't like. Sure there's characters I wouldn't like if they where REAL like Flanders and Skinner, but I think all the characters play off eachother well, and everyone has their place in Springfield.

Homer Jay 09-06-2004 06:04 PM

I don't find many of the characters annoying. I do think that a lot of those mentioned above are funny, as long as they're not used more than once of twice a season. The only character that I hate is sober Barney. They took away is main characteristic, imagine if Homer hadn't had the crayon put back in his brain at the end of HOMR.

I laughed when Hutz introduced her to Marge (and us) for the first time and she snapped "Stay off the west side!"

But I was already sick of her before the episode was even over. Why anyone involved with the show thought she could became a regular character is beyond me.

I don't even like her in "The Way We Weren't". (This is a bit off-topic, but I was actually a bit surprised that we saw all the women who are around Marge's age at the girls' camp, except for Maude Flanders. What's up with that?)

It would've seemed kind of eerie, her being dead an dall. I know she was alive at the time, but still...

It takes a big man to admit when he's wrong.
You gotta admit though, she sounds a lot like Lauren Tom...

Ralph's annoyed me from day one. I just don't think those stupid random things he says are funny. He's made me laugh maybe twice in the history of the show. I liked him in "I Love Lisa" but overall I just don't find his stupidity cute.

It's practically the same deal with Frink. Though I don't find him to be as bad as Ralph.

The General 09-07-2004 02:28 PM

I agree with Zaius to a point. I used to like Ralph, like in "I Love Lisa", "LIsa's Rival" and most of his lines in "This Little Wiggy" but in the one episode (I apologize, I cannot remember which one) he apparently had his hand as his best friend or something and he says "You've betrayed me for the last time" or somethin along those lines*, thats when it finally dawned on me: Ralph is not funny

*I am not ususally one to make vague references to the show, but I really don't care to memmorize the season 15 episodes...

Dr Zaius 09-07-2004 02:33 PM

Was that from Little Girl in the Big Ten? Coz that reminds me of another bad Ralph line, where he goes "Look it's Lisa, and she's winning us back!"
I also hated "I can't believe I used to go out with you!" and "Everybody's hugging!"

The General 09-07-2004 02:40 PM

I dont know, the line was on a bus, I think Bart and Lisa were fighting on the bus, and Ralph was going to stab his hand with scissors or something.

But those lines you mentioned are horrible as well...

That was from Catch 'Em if You Can.

The worst character would have to be The Yes Guy or Lindsay Naegle.

Super Nintendo Chalmers 09-07-2004 05:35 PM

I can't stand Lindsay Naegle, Cookie Kwan and the Rich Texan. I find that they are overused now. Cookie Kwan was funny at first, as was the Yes Guy. He still makes me laugh on occasion but it's starting to get old, but I wouldn't say he's the worst character.

100% :D

Commander McCool 10-08-2004 07:31 PM

Kirk Van Houten.
He just needs to pull the trigger and stop whining for attention.
Heck, if CBG can hook up with Agnes Skinner, surely he can with someone.

Frink maybe, but Ralph has almost always been a classic for me. From "So do you like.....stuff?" to "Go Banana"

You've gotta' be kiddin' me. The Yesss Guy is hilarious. I lol everytime I see him. Who I can't stand is the old lady from "Three Men and a Comic Book" and all of the Superfriends! :-@ Who's Lindsay Naegle anyway? Is she that girl whose always changing jobs except it's always successful for her unlike Gil? :boggled:

kane 10-10-2004 03:31 PM

I agree with mcstink, replacing The Yes Guy with Agnes Skinner for the order of how annoying:

Agnes Skinner
Cookie Kwan
Rich Texan (especially in Simple Simpson)

HoyvinGlavin64 10-10-2004 04:52 PM

Cookie Kwan and Lindsey Neagle. The Yes Guy is at least funny the first time you see him, and he has his moments (notably Milhouse Doesn't Live Here Anymore).

Revolver 10-10-2004 05:15 PM

I think the yes guy can be funny. They just should stop using him pretty soon since he's pretty much a one note joke. None of the characters really bother me. Some I like less than others certainly but I find characters in this universe almost always entertain me on some level. If I had to pick a least favorite, it'd be Helen Lovejoy and not because she annoys me or anything, I've just only found her antics amusing on one or two occassions tops.

TerrorK 10-10-2004 07:16 PM

Mostly agree here... Lindsay Naegle would be third, followed by Cookie Kwan and the worst of them all... The Rich "One Joke" Texan. Every time he does that dancing and/or shooting it makes me want to throw a brick at the TV set. Duffman just misses off the top three.

Pie Man 10-13-2004 02:41 PM

Yep, Cookie=Crap.

Evan1109 10-13-2004 05:11 PM

I like Gil, and Lindsay Naegle (or however it's spelt) is funny considering what's she's parodying...But COOKIE KWAN MUST DIE.

It seems like the characters that most people hate were all introduced in "Realty Bites." I have to agree with the general hatred, though.

Lindsay Nagle - Had a few good moments ("I'm a sexual predator!"), but fills too many roles for one specific character. Also, we get to hear Tress Macneille's annoying "generic woman" voice we've heard 100 times before.

Cookie Kwan - The only funny thing about her was the "West side" bit in Realty Bites. Other than that, she's just grating, and annoyingly present in too many episodes(including flashbacks).

Duffman - Like Cookie, he was funny once. Now the writers seem to rely too much on him when they need to add zany humor. The episode a few years back when they had to help him get his job back was particularly annoying.

I don't mind Gil so much, even if he is basically the same joke over and over. In fact, I wouldn't mind to see an episode devoted to him since the poor guy gets crapped on so often. He seems to me like a mix of Milhouse's dad and Principal Skinner.

Lady2Hotty 10-15-2004 08:34 AM

I still love Duffman, oh yeah!

Couldn't agree more. Definitely an underrated character, Ralph is one of my all-time favorites. Never afraid to eat anything---from snowflakes to glue to purple berries, he also has a reputation for saying things both irrelevant and unintelligent, yet oh so funny!

Some of my favorites:

"My knob tastes funny."
" I bent my Wookie!"
"Oh boy, sleep! That's where I'm a viking!"
"And I want a bike and a monkey and a friend for the monkey."

Bob Smith 10-24-2004 01:54 PM

cookie kwan

nice avartar hank.You jocker!

The "Urban" Lenny 10-24-2004 02:09 PM

Cookie Kwan, Lindsay Nagele, and Sideshow Mel are by Far the worst Characters especially Mel because ever since they tried to make him his own person and not just Krusty's sidekick, he's been really annoying. especially in My mother the Carjacker when he goes on that Rant about Motel 6, or Holiday Inn, or whatever.

Haha, read this post in Hank Scorpio's actual voice. It's awesome. :mexican:

Troy McClure ...but then again we won't be hearing his voice again.

Yeah, and I admit, cookie is crap.

I agree with you in all this. I specially agree with the characterīs lines you pointed as funny. But I think Duffman is still quite good.

Rich Texan is a character I donīt find funny, neither annoying. I almost donīt notice heīs there. :D

Comic book guy, no question.

BTW, anyone who says Rev. Lovejoy or Helen Lovejoy are the worst can kiss my ass!!!

Paul 03-13-2005 07:32 AM

Reverend Lovejoy and Helen Lovejoy are by far the worst characters in the history of The Simpsons. I say kill them off.

Simpsons Forever! 03-14-2005 04:42 AM

Cookie or the yes guy. They are so undeveloped and pointless - the show doesn't need them.

Galalimit 03-14-2005 08:23 AM

Judge Harm is by far the worst. I hated The Parent Rap.

billy, 03-14-2005 09:23 AM

Judge Harm.
