I know I'm in the minority in this, but I prefer the crayon. I think the idea that a specific gene that occurs in one family in the world which decreases the males' intelligence is pretty far out and not really feasible, in my eyes. Don't get me wrong, a crayon in the brain is pretty unlikely as well, but unlike a gene affecting one family in the entire world, I can see it happening. I admit that the reasoning that we've never seen it before is pretty shoddy (Hibbert's finger always covering it up), but I feel it's a slightly more plausible and an overall better reason. You?

It seems odd that they'd all quit at the same time; I thought for a second that the whole dang dubbing cast was fired and replaced, like what happened around S15 in the Latin American dub.

What I'm asking is, which episodes do you think showed the least likeable qualities of Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa?

Homer
Dead Putting Society: I believe this to be the first true appearance of "Jerkass Homer." He is extremely rude to Flanders in this. Unlike in other episodes, his reason is stated. He is jealous of Flanders and wants to one-up him in something. However, I still feel that doesn't warrant the way he acted toward him.
When Flanders Failed: In the same vein as Dead Putting Society, Homer wishes ill will on Flanders for no real reason except envy. I haven't seen this one in a while, so my memory of it is fuzzy.
Homer's Phobia: Homer's flagrant homophobia in this episode really makes me dislike him.
Homer Simpson in: "Kidney Trouble": Probably the very worst I've ever seen Homer act. Leaving his father to die after promising him a kidney...twice...is unforgivable. He was already a big enough jerk when he didn't let his dad use the restroom.
Co-Dependent's Day: He tries to frame Marge for drunk driving. What else needs to be said. This probably rivals Kidney Trouble for worst Homer ever.
Catch 'Em If You Can: Both Homer and Marge are assholes in this one, simply deserting their kids for their own selfish reasons.
Bonfire of the Manatees: He's just a complete jerk from start to finish. The highlight of this is when he continuously treats his cousins like country bumpkins.

(There are a couple more in the Scully era, and probably a few where he is more of a jerk than in the first two episodes I put. I had recently watched those and was shocked by how different Homer acted in those. Since they were still fresh in my mind, they stood out more.)

Marge
$pringfield: This is an episode where I know Marge needs to be unlikeable for the plot to work, so I suppose it works, but I dunno...this never sat well with me.
Scenes From the Class Struggle in Springfield: Pretty much the exact same thing I said above, except not quite as bad.
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Marge: Mostly the consensus choice for "worst Marge," although there's one episode that beats it for me. Completely out-of-character and paranoid in this, it's just painful to watch her.
She of Little Faith: Marge tries to force religion upon Lisa here. It makes me pretty mad.
Brake My Wife, Please: She wants to kill Homer because he needs to depend on her? Yeah...no.
Catch 'Em If You Can: Said above^
She Used to Be My Girl: THE worst I have ever seen Marge. She doesn't allow her daughter to hang out with a harmless girl because she's jealous and doesn't want Lisa to become as successful as her. I absolutely hate Marge in this episode, and it's one of my least favorite episodes of the series.
Please Homer, Don't Hammer 'Em: Marge gets the idea to hide and pretend Homer is doing the work, then get mad that Homer is taking credit. You asked for this, lady.
What Animated Women Want: The most recent of the "Bitch Marge" episodes, where all she does is treat Homer unfairly in order to constitute a marriage crisis.

Bart
My Sister, My Sitter: Bart just goes way too far in this. He eventually becomes pretty unlikeable for me because of the sheer torture he's putting Lisa through.
The Heartbroke Kid: I do not like seeing Bart like this. It's so far from how he normally is; it just seems like a completely different character.

Lisa
Lisa the Vegetarian: Her behavior in this is pretty bad, as she calls out everybody for eating meat. I understand why she's upset, but I don't like the way she acts upon it.
Summer of 4 ft. 2: Yeah, I know I'll get some flak for this one, but I don't know who to sympathize with in this episode. It really pulls me in opposite directions. I understand Bart's intentions, and how she really shouldn't be stealing what he does to gain new friends. I don't necessarily take Bart's side in this episode either, though. Probably the most conflicting episode.
Lisa's Date With Density: I don't like the pairing of Lisa and Nelson. I feel that Lisa is too smart to go for him, and her naïveté throughout the episode kind of turns me off.
On A Clear Day I Can't See My Sister: She is just heartless in this. She wants nothing less to inflict pain and torture upon Bart and to take full and unfair advantage of the restraining order she was granted. She is simply awful.

There. There's something we can discuss. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm really freaking tired.
