Season 4,3,7,6,5,8,2,9,1,10,15,13,14,12,11,16,18,17
(haven't seen enough of 19-23 to comment or rank)

9 and 11 above 3 and 7 is ...interesting. I like 9-15, but not more than 2-8

tis a fine list you got there.

now don't get me wrong. i consider all of these seasons to be extremely good. 11 just narrowly beats out 7 and 8 for me. as for my love of 11. i just find it hilarious. i might like it better because that was the first season i watched as it aired back in 1999. it's what made me love the simpsons. i got away from it for a couple years, then it came out on dvd i realized that i really do enjoy it a lot.

and 9 has one of my top 5 favourites, Bart Carny. i laugh my ass off through the whole season.

Well I guess if you're going by favourites, I can understand your rankings, but I find season 9 only average. If you took out the holdovers, I would actually rank season 10 above it(Now there's a season that is better than most people give it credit for. Take "Monty Cant Buy Me Love" out and it's actually quite decent). The one thing season 9 has going for it is the lack of that one terrible episode that seems to plague later seasons(season 10 has "Monty Cant Buy Me Love", 11 has "Its A Mad Mad Mad Mad Marge", 12 has The Great Money Caper,etc.)

haha i actually really like Monty Can't Buy Me Love and The Great Money Caper. i find that season 9 is one that is better than most give it credit for. i love episodes in it.

i really believe that seasons 1-12 are all fantastic and no episodes are terrible. but that's just me though.

but whatever. i live by one rule:

"Terrible" may be too harsh a word, but these 3 episodes are ones I dislike and generally avoid.

well Safety Inspector. i really haven't watched the series enough past season 12 to really have a favourite season. but i'm gonna go with either 13, 14 or 15. my favourite episode from past season 13 would probably be, "The Fat and the Furriest." cracks me up a lot more than any other post-Scully episode.
