I hope people actually reads this thing. I don't want to have to write the following thing for next some minutes and don't consider it later in my life as a waste of my precious time...
this IS my first blog post...
What should I say? I've been really really inconsistent with my board performances ever since I've become the moderator. I do not know what to say about it. In one way, I feel like it happened because college and more real-life social life happened and it took a lot of focus away from the internet society for me. Before my senior year in high school, the summer of 2009, NoHomersClub was my primary means of social life. I did not hang out in real life at all though and unfortunately, there were some sacrifices made. It's up to me now to balance these two pretty much and there is a prospect of meeting up more NHC members in the future so I'm stoked for it =) Right now, I belong to few cliques of friends in real life that I enjoy myself the company of but I do feel guilty of having reduced of my time spent in NoHomersClub. I mean, after all, it's been more than 4 years since I joined here. Since I'm turning 20 next month, it means that I spent bit more then 1/5 of my life being a member here and for 3 years out of those 5, I was a very very active poster. I discovered joy of writing, MSN chat, AIM chat, other TV shows, many different music, The Big Lebowski, being a moderator, etc. from this board and honestly, I feel bad having to slack a lot of my time as a mod of this forum.
First semester of college went well. When I wasn't sleeping, I was mostly out of my dorm room either studying, sleeping, socializing, or partying. Besides that one night that I got hospitalized, it was a semester well spent with 3 A's and 1 B as final grades. People in my dorm are magnificent, I live in one of the smaller dorms of the entire campus, which might be why we stick together so well and everyone knows each other inside the building. Them college events are pretty fun too. There was this 'Safe Rave' event that I jumped around and danced for 3 hours... just a great, great exercise.
But the best thing that happened to me this fall... has to do with Rocky Horror Picture show and no, it's not that shitty Glee episode. In one September night, me and my friends went out to see the campus group's Rocky Horror Show at midnight and I was blown away by... how shit was all blown out of proportion. It was so much fun in a fucking messy way; I wanted to join it. I did and as a result, the members (so far) all embraced me well and it feels like the best thing that I've done in the first semester. I've participated in two shows since then both as a tech. Next semester, hopefully I'll get parts like Dr. Frank or at least Eddie.
Anyways, I'm at peace during this winter vacation and waiting for next week--heading to Buenos Aires, Argentina for 3 week study abroad. I hope I get my head back to the board and perform well as a mod. Peace yo!
