It's funny how it's basically only old songs that manage to carry enough beat to get stuck in your head. Let me add a few to that list:

Lovin' Spoonful - Summer in the City
Three Dog Night - One
Stevie Wonder - I wish
Stevie Wonder - Pastime Paradise
Louis Armstrong - What a Wonderful World (doesn't fit with the theme, but hey, it's the obvious choice)
and of course...
CCR - Fortunate Son

on the opposite end of the spectrum...
Daft Punk - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (try to get it out of your head)
Daft Punk - Da Funk
Chemical Brothers - Piku
Chemical Brothers - It began in Afrika
Chemical Brothers - The Test
DJ Shadow - The Number Song
Josh Wink - Don't Laugh (Worst Tripout... Ever!)

I spend a lot of time with songs in my head :).

I would do Justine Frischmann in a heartbeat, trackmarks or no. "The Menace" never lived up to the first album, but I'm hoping they do something new anyway.

Their show in '96 was unbefuckinglieveably good. Best $6 show I've ever seen (only thing that beats that is Beck for $4 in '94).

No, Weezer acoustic version. Search on any file sharing network and it will come up. Trashcan Recepticle's cover of Jamie fucking sucked, in my opinion, mostly because I can stand that guy's "trying to sound sensitive" raspy-ish voice. Totally ruined the song.

OH MY GOD...the acoustic version of Jamie is one of the purest most beautiful songs I have ever heard...Rivers voice has never sounded so clean and innocent IMO...It instantly became my favorite Weezer song...and JPHH is right, the electric mix sounds like shit, I can't believe it was never re-recorded for it's official release...Glad I searched the acoustic out...

The acoustic versions of Pink Triangle and Good Life are really good...No One Else on acoustic is up there with Jamie...I don't like El Scorcho or Buddy Holly on acoustic though...

Does anyone know if they ever did Across the Sea on acoustic...That would be killer IMO...But I can't find it...Hopefully the Weezer fans can help me out...

The acoustic versions of Pink Triangle and Good Life are really good...No One Else on acoustic is up there with Jamie...I don't like El Scorcho or Buddy Holly on acoustic though...

I decided to do the same, since I've never heard of the song. And I'm glad I did. It had a real nice mellodie with great lyrics. I'm gunna visit this page more often for more recommendations.

Here are my 5 current songs stuck in my head:

DMB: Everyday
Weezer: Keep Fishin
Hives: Hate to say I told you so
Red Hot Chilli Peppers: Give it Away
Radiohead: Fake Plastic Trees

Nothing Song is great. They used it in Vanilla Sky, but it's not on the OST and last I checked you could only find a live bootleg online of the song, which is still great though.

Rivers' voice sounds excellent on the track (despite the poor quality audio that my version has). It's negatives are that some of the harmonies sound off (could be due to the poor quality of my version, however) and it seems to loose some of it's overall power with the acoustics. Still, as I said, it is not without it's charm. The "Jamie" acoustic version is still one of the most remarkable improvements of a song transferring to acoustic that I have ever heard. Yet another great song I have learned of from this thread. This has to be one of the best threads ever. Nice job, gil. http://www.simpsonsforum.com/images/icons/thumbup.gif

Acoustic El Scorcho, Good Life, and Pink Triangle are fun to listen to just because the crowd really reacts to the choruses and during the solos. It's a cool experience.

Being a fan of the soundtrack that was used in the film, Vanilla Sky, I decided to download this "Nothing Song". Right when it started, I could tell the scene where it was used in. Love this song. I can now add this to the one of the songs stuck in my head. It's already one of my favorite songs, ever, after hearing it for the first time in the film.
