Then you haven't heard of many shows.

Restrictions are placed for various reasons. If it's a bar or zoned to be a bar, then it'll be the legal drinking age. Privately some Venues restrict age to try and stop such acts like Mosh Pitting, Crowd Surfing, or the new favorite, Hardcore Dancing.

Now word on a new CD, but they played a one-off show here around New Year's. Heard it was pretty good, had some new stuff.

It's not that I didn't LIKE 13 Tales, I just thought it was more of the same from them and I was getting tired of their sound...which in itself is a mishmosh of a lot of Britpop/Shoegazer stuff. Their song "Ride" from the first album is a ref to the band of the same name, and the song could easily have been one of theirs.

A friend of mine was playing one of their songs last night and I swear it sounded like a pop song love ballad of some sort...definitely one of the most hardcore punk rock songs/bands I have ever heard. /sarcasm.

The assignments are heaping on me and so I have resorted to extreme procrastination and thus I have finally recorded my first hit song.

I wrote this song in May of 1996 in response to the shortly lived Lounge fad whereby songs like 'Wonderwall' were made gentle and peaceful. This song made some laugh but there is a possiblily that they were laughing at me and not the song.

So I give you:

Comrade - Flowers, Everywhere! (http://nohomers.net/staff/comrade/comrade - flowers everywhere.mp3)

This song is flamingly gay.

Enjoy.

Yeah, it's the conclusion to their trilogy concept albums. I got part one (It Was Hot, We Stayed in the Water) which had Glow pt.1, when I got Mount Eerie. Eerie of course continues where Glow pt. 2 left off with the heart beat and "the glow". I have yet to listen to them all in order.

3 more this week:
The Pixies- Monkey Goes to Heaven
Guided By Voices- Portable Men's Society
Slint- Washer

Weird indie-experimental shit. Actually, being a fan of Pink Floyd, you might dig it. Definitely not the kind of stuff where you should download a track or two to make a judgement (though Solar System is good on its own)...it's more of an album thing, from start to finish.
