Mission of Burma is BADASS!!! I lent my copy of "Our Band Could Be Your Life" to a friend, and he got some. Been listening to a burn for awhile--kind of the best elements of Minutemen and Husker Du. Cool garage type of feel, slightly mellowed punk. Cool shit.

Seek out 'Giant Steps' if you can; it's not as tight an album as 'Wake up, Kids!', but it's more of an aural treat, and tracks like "Wish I Was Skinny", "Upon 9th and Fairchild" and "Best Lose the Fear" stand out as pure gold. Too bad they suck horribly now; they were such a gifted band in '93.

How can you fight the timeless melody? Melodramatic, sure, but damn it sticks in my head.

That whole album is one of their least impressive, IMO. It's hard to beat Tigermilk and If You're Feeling Sinister.

actually i'm listening to the rolling stones right now, the Beggar's Banquet album. it's cool how they remastered all of their albums and put them in nifty digipacks, i wish a certain other band would do that, although that would mean buying all their albums over again. oh well.
