I may the only person who likes this movie who isn't even a little influenced by childhood nostalgia. I only saw this movie for the first time about 4 years ago, and I still love it. There's this movie news website I like (CHUD.com) where the staff members always claim that the movie is a shallow, noisy piece of crap that people only like because they have fond memories of it from when they were kids, but I'm living proof that they are BLIND. I didn't have to be an immature little tyke that has no experience with movies to think this movie was great fun. I've even watched it more than once and I still think it's a blast.

i only saw this movie for the first time last year, after hearing really good stuff about it. really enjoyable film and a favorite of mine.

Man I love this movie.

I was at an angel game one time and they always have clips of movies where the rally monkey (mascot sort of) comes out of no where and makes noise and crap. Anyways they did this with the goonies and it was pretty funny. The kid has to go to the bathroom when he hit his head on the lightbulb he turns the corner and there is the monkey. After I saw this I realized i hadn't seen this movie in a long time so I went home and watched it.

Goonies is an awesome kids adventure, I still enjoy it today.

The little chinese boy, he's also in Indiana Jones and he rocks.

Apparently they were going to make an animated sequel. I love the Character designs Steven Silver did for it.

It seems this movie was made during a time when Spielberg had free reign to make as many random fun movies as he liked. I wonder what made him slow down, maturity? or a string of under preforming big budget flicks?
